Market day was what I thought it would be today. When I drove up this morning the parking lot looked like it does in the winter. Definitely no problem finding parking spots today !!
I had a surprisingly good day due to orders being picked up and the lady came after her little blue jean aprons and instead of the 2 she ordered she took 5, so that was a good sale.
I had 1 cake order for 5 cakes and 1 for 4 cakes so that made for a good day even though there was very little foot traffic in the market today.
After running errands and checking out a grand opening of a new Grocery Outlet I got home almost at the exact time hubbie arrived from work. We hurriedly unloaded the van and he took off to church to meet some other men to work on the lights high in the sanctuary.
I took advantage of the alone time and took a nap !!
When he returned we ate a light supper and did evening chores, then headed back to church to work before a band started practicing for the Block Blast Saturday.
In my search for old decade pictures I have discovered that I didn't make a lot of pictures in our early days, especially before the kids came along.
In September of 1980 we were beginning to think about starting a family of our own but in the mean time we had a 2 year old niece that was precious. Here she is with her dad (hubbie's brother) and mom. We were on a camping trip to Cherokee ,NC.Little did I know that about 13 months from when this pic was taken I would be holding a baby of my own. Here is hubbie and niece in front of our tent. See that sagged top, well , it rained that night and we did get wet!!!
Funny thing about memories I cannot for the life of me remember what hubbie's brother's family slept in that weekend.
This is a picture hubbie and I had made and it is dated September 1990.
I was still working at Norton Diamond Tool Mfg. and hubbie was delivering uniforms for a place called Rental Uniform Service, neither business is still open today.
Well I'm off to bed early as I have to be at the doctor at 8:30 in the morning. I don't like going to doctors,at my age it isn't hard to find something wrong. Wish me luck in the morning as I have a feeling I know what I'm going to hear.
Thanking God for the blessings of today and asking for His presence in the doctors office in the morning.
Good Night and God Bless.

Great picture of you and hubbie..... Life has changed since Sept. 1990, hasn't it??? You have the prettiest smile, Marilyn.
Glad you had a good market day --even though there weren't many people around.
You are all a very hard-working family... Thanks be to God!!!!
Have a great weekend... No rain for us YET...It just keeps going around us.
Hugs,
Betsy
