HAPPY RAINY HALLOWEEN and 2009 DECADE PICS.

Up to a very rainy morning after a very rainy night . I got chores done after hubbie got g-son to school.
I dropped RL at pre-school in her orange shirt to join everyone else on "orange" day.
I had to take a couple detours already this morning because of flooded roads but I still made it everywhere on time.
Hubbie was already at market by the time I arrived and we got unloaded and set up.
Daughter and the girls arrived shortly afterward and we took turns with them and watching the table. Sales were as I expected very slow today with the intermittent very heavy rain.
This was also the last month of the month and I had to pay the market employees and go to the bank.
The girls had fun with all the wig costumes that some of the vendors brought in.

We all stayed all day and then hubbie went with daughter to the Amazon return place to pick up a little seat for CA and then he went to Sam's Club for our weekly supplies.
I stopped at the bank, the PO and Aldi for baking supplies and groceries.
I drove through really heavy pouring rain all the way home and was very thankful when I finally turned into our driveway with a big sigh of relief.
I sat in the Honda and waited until the rain slacked off and then went inside to open doors so I could get the Honda unloaded. Hubbie came in and helped me get things put away.
We sat down for a few minutes until CA arrived to stay with us while her big sister did some more trick or treating this evening.
The fire department was her favorite stop because of the "puppy" that was handing out the goodies  there.

Daughter took her to several places that braved the now very light rain and she had fun.
Hubbie and I took turns getting out chores done and taking care of CA who played for a while then finally lost the battle fighting sleep and took a nap until daughter got here to pick her up.
The coldest air of the season has moved in quickly after the rain passed on out this evening leaving over 3 more inches in the rain gauge. The first freeze of the season is predicted for tonight and the following several nights.
Another strange weather happening now is this hurricane that formed in the northern Atlantic ocean in very cool water.
October has been a busy month but fun month as it always is and is the start of a slow down for us as we don't have any grass mowing to do or gardening unfortunately except for gathering some late season greens that we have planted.
I need to finish up the decade series so even if it makes this post longer than normal her goes with the October 2009 fun. Since this month is on my blog I am just putting a few pics so show the activities of that month on this post. You can go back 10 years now and check out the entire 2009 month.
We celebrated g-son's 3rd birthday that year at d-in-love's parents house with lots of friends.
Our entire family made a trip to Sunset beach that year.

Of course there was many trips to the pumpkin patch.
Pumpkin carving with Pawpaw.
And Halloween fun all around.
Thankful for the blessings of this day.
God Bless and Good Night

INSIDE TRUNK OR TREAT

Got the kids off to their schools this morning and got back home to get breakfast and then get my baking done. The weather is really messy already starting this morning as I had my long raincoat and tall rain boots on getting chores done.
I baked only 2 pound cakes this morning as I am expecting a very slow rainy Halloween Thursday at market tomorrow.
CA has her pediatric doctor's appointment right after lunch today and I went with daughter and her . IR stayed here with Pawpaw. All the staff and the doctor said they couldn't wait to see her and see how she was doing and they were all very surprised and pleased.
She measured 26 inches long which is in the 80% for her age but her weight is still way down as her 12 lbs 10 ozs only put her in the 6% for her age.
She was a good patient until they gave her one of her routine shots and then she was not happy with anyone. Daughter asked that they divide the 4 vaccinations up into 2 different appointments so she'll have to have 2 more shots in a few weeks.
We came home and the rain is still coming down so daughter took the girls home for naps so they would be ready for trick or treating later.
Hubbie and I worked on the light fixture out in our sunroom but couldn't find out how to get parts to fix the light maybe we'll try again later.
We got our chores done early and headed down to #1 son's to pick up a little "sky" to go trick or treating with daughter , IR and CA. It was still raining and I had dumped 1 inch already from my gauge at chore time.
The apartment complex that daughter lived in while her house was being built was having their trick or treat tonight so that was our first stop. IR went as "batgirl".

They got vampire teeth and I think RL was happier about hers than IR !!!

We left there and headed up to our church which moved the trunk or treats inside in the classrooms.
We had pizza first to counteract some of the sugar the girls had already had.
CA went as "superwoman" this year.

The girls had a fun time doing the games as most of the "trunks" set up in the classrooms.

They met up with BB and EL who were characters from Toy Story.

G-son was one of the youth who was helping with the games.

#1 son and d-in-love and their friends were "Scooby Doo" characters.
One of the trunks was set up outside under the front drive thru and the girls treasure hunted for treats in the straw.

We brought g-son and RL here to wait until their parents got their booth cleaned up and both kids talked on and on about how much fun they had especially RL as she was overjoyed.
After they were picked up hubbie and I got things ready for market. I was thankful I didn't have any icing to do and that I had done all the paperwork for the week earlier in the afternoon.
Thankful for the blessings of family and friends and the wonderful church family God has blessed me with.
God Bless and Good Night

SHOPPING TRIP AND 1999 MEMORIES

Up to greet g-son and RL at 7 am and get back on regular schedule this morning. Hubbie took g-son to school , while he's gone I get dressed and then do chores as soon as he gets back.
This morning daughter and her girls came over at 8:00 and we all got in my Honda and dropped RL off at pre-school then headed to Spartanburg ,SC to a Dick's Sporting Goods outlet that just recently opened down there.
We got there right after 9:30 but the store didn't open until 10am . We only had about an hour to shop when we got in so we all split up and did our own thing. Hubbie took IR with him and daughter kept CA and I kind of went between them while shopping. I didn't find much except for some skorts that I have been looking for.
It is more of a young folks store but hubbie managed to find a pair of shorts, a couple golf shirts and a some swim trunks at good deals. We all would have liked more time to shop but we had to get back to pick up RL at noon.
RL was happy to see both IR and CA in the car when we picked her up.
All three of the girls went to sleep on the way home but woke up as soon as we got home and we all had lunch.
After we ate we took the girls all outside to slide on the slide that hubbie fixed up at their play trailer yesterday.
They enjoyed the slide and love to play inside the playhouse too.

Even little CA seemed excited to have their very own play place.
They played for a long time out there until they got hungry and wanted to come in for a snack while hubbie went to pick up g-son.
After they ate they played on this little riding toy together.

D-in-love picked up RL and g-son and then daughter took IR and CA for a ride to get them to nap.
There was a man picking up the older hens I have for sale so hubbie and I helped him catch the hens and rooster that he bought.
After he left we got chores done and then had supper before relaxing for the evening.
To continue the decade pics for October 1999 when #1 son was playing his last high school football game. He was # 72.

This group of boys had played football together since they in the 5th grade so they were like family and this was a hard night for all of them.

Also during that month #2 son was asked to be one of the junior homecoming representative's escort.

Great memories of some very busy but enjoyable times.
Thankful for the blessing of traveling mercies today and for all the other blessings that were sent my way today.
God Bless and Good Night
