Hubbie had carried most of my cakes downstairs last night before he went to bed.
I made it to market at the usual time. Expecting this to be a bummer day I brought some towels to crochet the tops on. I finished 4 towels and made 1 towel angel.
Today was surprisingly better than I expected so I will need to make a supply stop on the way home to get ready for Saturday. I usually have a list of orders for Easter but this year so far I have only 1 order.
As I started getting ready to pack up I noticed black clouds on the horizon toward our farm. As I got things loaded into the van in the starting rain showers Hubbie called from our house. He said it was really pouring the rain with a little hail mixed in. I could see the lightening streaking to the ground back that way from town.
The storm clouds looked really ominous on my way home.
I made a stop at Sav Mor which is near market and then headed toward home through a driving rain storm. There was one place that I almost came to a stop because it looked like the road was completely washed out. But as I got closer I realized it was mud and gravel washed from driveways,wow, what a mess !
Here the driveway is washed some but not real bad but there is water, water everywhere !!
I tried to wait out the rain before I unloaded but after an hour I put on my rain coat and got things put away.
At chore time this evening I poured 2 1/2" of rain out of the rain gauge and still the rain is coming down steadily. We were under a thunder storm watch until 9 tonight.
Hubbie and I had steamed broccoli for supper while we watched it rain. Thankful we did not get the hail and wind some other areas got.
The air is definitely changed tonight, even at 51 degrees the dampness makes it feel very cool out there. A period of more seasonal temperatures is headed our way so I'll put away the tank tops and shorts for awhile.
Tomorrow is one of the saddest, most wonderful days in the life of Christians as our Savior Jesus was crucified on the cross to save us sinners.

Glad you're safe, there has been much rough weather.
This was the worst storm front since we moved here six years ago. Our deck and yard were covered with hail. Fortunately the hail stones were marble-sized so they didn't do a lot of damage. We got almost four inches of rain at our house.
SUNNY IN FLORIDA AND THANKING GOD THAT THE STORM FROM DALLAS FADED BY THE TIME IT GOT TO THE FLORIDA BEACHES.
