After breakfast and crossword time I went back outside to walk. By this time the sun had burned all the fog away and the clear blue sky was beautifully clear.
Snowball and Louie watch me as I go by the barn. Snowball has a new lease on her long life since Louie came around. She has rekindled all he mothering skills with him.
D-in-love is working today so I picked g-son up from pre school. He came running across the playground when he saw my van which surprised me as he usually wants to play every minute he can with his friends. After he got in the van he was very whinny so I figured he must be tired or hungry.
Turned out to be a little bit of both I think. I had a cake delivery to make then it was lunchtime.
While he finished his lunch I started a load of laundry. He was really good and let me do my housework for the day before he started following me around wanting stuff.
I got the laundry finished and we sang Christmas songs and he told me the story of the Gingerbread man that got eaten by the fox. I was amazed at how much of it he remembered.
When hubbie got home from work they went outside to do evening chores while I did mine.
I have been playing around a bit with my camera and these are some shots I took after sunset tonight.
G-son gets the cart out for Pawpaw to get some wood.
Here we go !
Taking a break !
I missed the sun setting tonight but there was a little color left.
Love that clear blue sky.
I like the nice calm feeling that comes each night with the disappearance of the sun and the bedding down of all the animals .
After #1 son picked up g-son tonight hubbie and I had a light supper and then #2 son came up for a haircut. I talked to sis-in-law about our family Christmas dinner and we have tentively picked New Years Day for the date. Everyone is so busy before Christmas we thought it would be better to wait .
I baked layers tonight for 9 cakes. I can't figure this year out as far as how much to bake because so far it has been very slow.
I'm blogging then heading for a nice relaxing hot bath before heading to bed. The temperature is still 41 degrees at midnight.
Thanking God for today's blessings and asking for His care and protection for g-son as he grows up.
Good Night and God Bless.

Hi Marilyn, Glad that Snowball has a new lease on life... We all need companionship of one kind or the other---even animals... I had ONE dog ---and even though Duchess did fine, I'm sure she was lonely during the day when I was working.
We've had fog lately too--but maybe not as thick as yours. Today is VERY warm--almost feels like spring.
Your grandson is really growing up...
Great sky picture.
Hugs,
Betsy
