ANOTHER HOUSEWORK TUESDAY

As I woke this morning I kept hearing this squeaking sound and could not for the life of me figure out what it was.
I got up and started down the hall and it dawned on me, it wasn't a squeak, but a peep !
The little chick had made it through the night and as I looked into the box into those little black eyes I noticed it had drank all the sugar water and had pooped so it was time to join mama and the rest of the family.
As I sat it in front of mama she looked at it as if to say " and just where have you been?" as she continued to scratch and peck to show her chicks how to eat the feed I had put in there.
Maybe he will make it ,at least I tried.
I finished the chores and started laundry and house cleaning. The sun kept going in and out all day as clouds moved over.
After lunch I took a shovel and finished cleaning the ditches on the drive way out where Hubbie had left off last week just in case we do get hard rain.
I kept checking on the little chick and he looked stronger each time I checked.
Later this afternoon #1 son came by and dug and flattened out a new parking place at the end of the house for my van.
When Hubbie got home from work he layed the first row of timbers around the bottom and I ordered gravel for tomorrow.
As we worked in the front yard I saw D-in-love doing a wedding portrait shoot in the field across the road.
She said this is a true country girl and she wanted these buttercups in the back ground.

I don't know who this young bride is ,but as soon as she lifted her dress and I saw those cowgirl boots I knew I liked her. You go girl !!!

Haven't a clue what D-in-love is doing here??????

The skies darken and it looked like rain any minute but we didn't get any yet. As I type this it is midnight and they just broke in on TV and gave warnings of a severe storm headed this way and I already heard thunder.
I baked 12 caramel, 4 chocolate,2 coconut and 2 pound cakes tonight.

Grateful to God tonight for the blessings of today.
Good Night and God bless.

We haven't had any rain all week. Had to water all of the potted plants today... Your DIL must be a great photographer... Love the cowboy boots under her wedding dress... How cute!!!!

Hope the little chick continues to thrive.
Hugs,
Betsy

I can't believe you baked so many cakes! I can barely manage to make two of them in one day. I am totally impressed.
