Another cloudy morning but the pre-dawn rains didn't happen last night for the first time in quite a few.
There was 1 1/2" to dump from the rain gauge this morning, with the rains last night our area has surpassed our total yearly rainfall average. We now have had 46.41 total inches of rain and the yearly normal for the entire year is 45.57 !! With rain everyday of this month of July before today, I have emptied a total of 10.88 inches of rain from the gauge in the first 7 days of this month, wow !!
Went to church this morning. Our senior pastor and several members of the congregation are on a mission trip to West Virginia this week. They left Friday and arrived safely in the big bus that was donated to our church recently. Here is the bus in the background of this photo.
I'm sure it was a much more comfortable ride than the vans they usually travel in.
#1 son went on several mission trips when he was a teenager and this trip is the 20+ year that they have spent a week during the summer doing mission work in another state.
Everyone made it to lunch today of pork roast, corn, green beans, potatoes, fried squash and peach cobbler for dessert.
After everyone left to take care of their own business this afternoon hubbie and I relaxed for the evening.
It has been cloudy all day with temperatures hovering at 80 degrees but thankfully for the first day in over a week we didn't get any rain. Aaron let the cattle back down into the lower pastures as they have eaten all the grass in the upper one.
I filled all the bird feeders and then sat out in the sunroom to watch the activity around them. It always amazes me at how quickly all the birds know there is new food in the feeders. They have been empty for several days because with all the rain I hadn't gotten out there to refill them. It didn't matter today, as the birds just flocked to the fresh seed all evening.
I have felt very tired today and really enjoyed the evening of just sitting.
Thankful tonight for God's love and guidance as He helps me navigate the sometimes muddy waters' of this life.
Good Night and God Bless.

I am so happy to hear the rain finally stopped. I love the little picture (with the saying) at the end of the blog. Blessings
It is so nice to look outside and NOT see rain. Our Youth leave on their mission trip to Guyana next week and they have been working hard to raise the funds needed. God will bless as He will your church on their mission. Happy Monday sent your way!
