A different kind of Sunday morning today as hubbie and I got to sleep a little longer then get chores done and have a leisurely breakfast not doing any cooking or cleaning this morning because we are going to the lake with #2 son.
Tif unfortunately got called in to work this morning so it will just be the three of us going.
Son picked us up at 10:00 and we headed to Lake Hartwell .
We went to Twelve Mile boat dock and it wasn't crowded at all . We got the boat right in the water and were on our way.
It was a beautiful day to be on the lake.
We passed by Clemson college football stadium.
The lake was very low , we wondered it they had taken some water out of it before the storm last week in case of flooding.
There were many tree tops and logs floating around in the water we really had to watch where we were going.
The water is already getting pretty cool and hubbie was the only one who braved going for a swim .
The temperature was in the upper 80's and he said it felt good when he got back out to dry off in the hot sunshine but it was pretty cool in the water.
#2 son and I just spent our time soaking in the sunshine.
It was a wonderfully relaxing day and hopefully the weather will co-operate and we can make more trips this Fall and even do some fishing.
We loaded up and headed home about 4:00 . The clouds were starting to build and we didn't want to get caught in a rain storm.
Son dropped us off at home and we watched the news about the latest Atlantic storm as Maria is now a hurricane and looks to re-visit many places that were just devastated by hurricane Irma.
We did chores then I did my walking for the day watching a pretty sunset.
It was a football kind of day at g-daughter I 's house today and she rooted for the winning team.
This has been a very blessed Sunday and I am humbly thankful for traveling mercies and for a loving family.
