SPRING STORMS AND TORNADO WARNING

Up to a nasty rainy cool morning. Hubbie took g-son to school and then I got chores done in the rain when he got back. IR, CA and I had breakfast together then we loaded up and headed out in hubbie's truck to run our weekly errands. It is raining lightly thankfully as hubbie has to get out and put all the trash and recyclables in the big bins at the dump.  We made stops at the bank and then picked up my new glasses on our way to pick up lunches.  Tomorrow will be the last day we are able to get lunches at the schools. So we are taking advantage while we can.    We came home and IR and CA both had lunch with us. CA got to sit in this old restaurant booster chair at lunch today and she was very pleased to be at the table with us.

After we ate we all sat in the living room and watched TV and watched it rain outside.  IR took a nap which is odd for her but she hasn't acted like she has felt great all day. Hopefully she's just tired.   Just as it got time for school to dismiss our county was placed under a tornado warning in the southern part so schools postponed dismissal and put all the kids in the halls and safe places until the warning was lifted at 3:30.

Daughter brings g-son home from school with her so she waited on him to get up to her room and then left . The road from school to our house was blocked with traffic waiting to pick up kids so they had to take the long way around.  The severe storms thankfully passed through with only thunder, lightening and heavy rains. No wind or hail yet for our area but the storms are going to continue until the mid morning hours so we pray for protection from our loving Lord.
The bottoms are already flooding as I shut up my chickens this evening so I'm sure there will be a major flood with all the extra rain coming.

We spent a quiet evening listening to rain fall outside and praying for no wind to blow the big oak tree down on our house.
Thankful for the blessings of this day.
God Bless and Good Night
