ROUTINE WINTER WEEK

Well this week was a prime example of why I decided not to do a blog post everyday. This has been one of those truly routine weeks with nothing exciting even a predicted snowfall that stayed with the forecast of only a dusting on Saturday morning.

It was a cold weather week so we spent it inside with the girls .

Wednesday was dressup like your favorite candy day at the pre school IR and CA go to and they both went as gumball machines.

On the 26th of the month NP turned 5 months olds.

And on the 28th EA turned a month older, my they are grwoing up way too fast !!!!
We have all also been under the weather with head colds this week. All of the girls, hubbie and I and both of the moms have battled runny noses, coughing fits and just generally feeling lousy all week. CA went to the doctor but all the test were negative so they called it a cold virus. Daughter got tested at school for covid and it was negative so we battled the symptoms all week. By the weekend most of us were feeling better.  Hopefully a new warmer weather week will help kick the sickness and everyone will start to feel better.
Thankful for all the blessings of this past week and looking forward to what God has in store for the family in the new month.
God Bless and Good Night

SNOW FUN

This week started out strangely with a Monday holiday and a foot of snow on the ground to cancel schools and work for everyone.  Hubbie and I stayed inside all we could because of the cold temps and high winds that blew all day. The snow looks just like it did yesterday even down on the road.

The kids still got out in the cold and had fun.

Hubbie got the tractor out and tried to scrape some of the snow off the driveway and from around out entrance.

Tuesday was another day off for everyone but it was the first above freezing temperatures of the week and with the sunshine it was a very nice day to get out and have some fun with the kids. Daughter was able to get over to #1 son's house with the girls to join the fun.

CA decided she wanted to spend the night with us and she did just fine and slept all night .

Wednesday was back to work for #2 son and d-in-love-T so NP was here all day.  There was still no school but d-in-love A needed to go shopping so RL stayed with us and daughter came over to get some virtual classwork lined up for tomorrow as the next two days are virtual school days since the state workers have not got the snow off all the roads and don't plant on clearing them before the end of the week.
RL is good entertainment for the babies !!

Snow is still pretty deep especially in the shady areas.
Thursday was a pretty much back to normal day for us except IR didn't go to school.  I had to get out for the first time and go to the post office and the roads are still pretty bad with piles of snow everywhere.

Friday we had all the girls at different times while all the girls worked on different schedules. It was a cold day not getting out of the upper 20's so no melting today.

Hubbie has caught IR and CA's head cold and cough so he isn't feeling very well so this Saturday was a pretty calm inside housecleaning day . NP and EA came to stay this morning while their moms went to an exercise class and IR and CA came to stay this afternoon and we just enjoyed the day with the girls.
We had our regular Sunday family lunch and all the kids and family had a great visit on a cold day.
Thankful for all the continued blessings and so thankful for a wonderful Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
God Bless and Good Night

CAREER CHANGES, BIRTHDAY and MAJOR SNOW STORM

This week has held a new normal for us as d-in-love-T started a MA class after deciding not to go back to work at the post office and NP started spending everyday with us. We were concerned at how she would do but after a little trouble on Monday she fell right into the routine and was great all week. She got a lot of extra attention from IR and CA all week and she and EA seem to be forming a bond already.

#2 son was off on Thursday so he kept NP at home with him. We used that day as our weekly errand day and went to the dump and picked up chicken feed. RL had her 6 year old physical that morning and got a flu shot which made her leg sore so she came and stayed with us for the day instead of going to school. When she came and saw CA in her unicorn outfit she sent her mom home to bring her unicorn outfit and they had a fun morning together.

This week was filled with some beautiful sunrises and sunsets in front of the huge snowstorm that was heading our way.

On Saturday evening we celebrated BB's 7th birthday.

And then the big story of the week as before we left BB's party the snow had already started and it continued to snow all night and all day Sunday. leaving us with 12 inches of heavy wet snow and cold temps and wind that made it very uncomfortable to get out to get chores done and try to keep the heavy wet snow off our buildings and green house to keep them from collapsing . But it was a very pretty snow and the kids all had lots of fun.

We were all very thankful that we all kept our power as a lot of folks weren't so lucky. We are praying the higher winds that coming overnight tonight and tomorrow don't change that for us.
Looking forward to another interesting week as the snow has already canceled all work and school for tomorrow and the temps are just getting colder so there won't be much melting and the state workers are understaffed because of covid virus absences so the roads won't get scraped for a while.
Thankful to God for another week of wonderful family time and for all the blessings He sent my way.
God Bless and Good Night
