DAY AFTER CLEAN UP AND PASTA MAKING

 Up to bright sunshine this morning. IR and CA were here early while RL's other g-ma was up here with her today.  I got chores done and then had breakfast with the girls. When we finished eating I iced the 6 caramel cakes and then played with the girls while hubbie went to the garden and picked the Roma tomatoes. I need to make one more batch of pasta sauce and I wanted to use these to thicken the sauce. I spent the afternoon getting these last 7 quarts of pasta sauce made.

Daughter came in with a new toy set for the girls that had a jump rope in it and IR spent a while learning to jump the rope.  After daughter took the girls home Aa came over and scraped the driveway for us.

Hubbie and I got chores done then we cleaned off the roof of the feed shed to see if we could find the leak but we will have to wait for more rain and check it out then.  We also checked to see where the water that came into our basement came from and cleaned out a portion of bushes above the house to see if we could find an obvious water trail but couldn't find that either so we will have to wait for more rain to come.  We also cleaned out the ditches along the driveway after Aa scraped because it is suppose to rain again tomorrow evening.

We were sweaty and worn out by the time we got inside this evening. I put in a couple pick up orders tonight and then we headed to bed early tonight.

Thankful for the blessings of this day and praying for the folks who were affected by the flooding rain yesterday.
