FIRST LAWN MOWING OF THE SEASON AND SOME SRPING CLEANING

Up to another beautiful warm morning. Daughter brought IR by to stay while she made a trip to the zoning office to pay for her septic permit to get the ball rolling on the land she is buying.
I did chores and had breakfast while IR had her fruit and cereal.
Daughter wasn't gone long and came back and picked up IR to go to her mother-in-law's beauty shop in Columbus to get her nails done.
G-son came here to stay while d-in-love took RL to the doctor again this morning. Her little bottom is broke out really bad and she is running a fever again .
G-son got himself some breakfast of waffles and syrup while hubbie got on the lawn mower and I went up to get started with the spring cleaning of my chicken houses.
I haven't cleaned them out since last November so that they would stay warmer at night in the houses.
It was a big job and I only got 2 of them done before it was lunch time.
After we three had lunch together hubbie went back to his mowing and I went back to get the other 2 houses cleaned out.
All the lifting and bending around in the smaller houses had my back and knees screaming by the time I got finished but the hens looked like they were happy with their clean nesting and roosting places.

When d-in-love and RL came back from the doctor and shopping she wanted to play outside with her brother. Thankfully her ear infection is getting better with the antibiotics and she has a yeast infection from the antibiotics on her bottom. The fever is gone and she seems to be feeling fine today.

Look at those long legs !!!!
After they played a little while everyone left and hubbie took the tractor to the bottom pasture to clean up all the fallen branches and trash that lands in the pasture during winter snows and floods.
I rested my back while he was gone.
We watched the early news then got chores done.
The yard looks really good after the first mowing of the season.
Tonight has been a restful evening for both hubbie and me . We both have very accomplished feelings for getting all the things we have done in the past 2 days and now can enjoy the rest of the week hopefully with out such a full days work each day.
Thankful for the health and strength that God blesses us with each day.
God Bless and Good Night

EARLY GARDENING DAY

It felt good but really strange to get to sleep in a little on this Monday morning. We don't want to get too far off schedule so it won't hurt so bad to get back on the early wake up next week but we do want to take advantage of getting some extra rest this week.
I did chores then had breakfast before we headed out into the beautiful warm morning sun to get some equipment moved around so we could get the garden worked. Daughter and IR came by to help.
IR and Rocky made quick friends.

While we worked IR supervised from her spot in the shade !!!!

We planted potatoes, lettuce, greens, radishes, kohlrabi, arugula and spinach and hope that the weather will finally get spring like .
I went inside periodically to get the three loads of weekly laundry done also.
IR got her turn on the big green tractor with Pawpaw  just like all the other kids around here so far.

As I walked around the yard today the signs of spring are coming along nicely as the first Azalea is starting to bloom.
The Redbud trees are getting close to full bloom.
All the Hosta and Lillies are really growing.
And this little ground cover has blooms this year that surprised me as I didn't know it bloomed.
All this beauty just in time for the next named winter storm. Wilbur is covering the mid and northeast with snow and is bringing rain to our area along with wind and maybe even snow for the weekend !!

At chore time I snapped this pic of the chicks that I have so far and they are growing nicely as this mama takes very good care of them.
These two went to the Greenville zoo today and had a fun day to began their spring break week.
This little one came back this evening to stay while her mama and #1 son measured and got papers ready for the permit process on the land she is buying.
Thankful for another wonderfully blessed day and for the continuing love of Jesus Christ.
God Bless and Good Night

HE IS RISEN !!!! HAPPY EASTER 2018

Halleluiah !!!  Jesus arose, the tomb is empty  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Up to get chores done and get scalloped potatoes and a squash casserole that Re made in the oven while we had breakfast and got ready for church.
I put out all the stuffed eggs for the kids to hunt and the Easter bunnies, aka daughter and son-in-love are going to the early service at their church and then coming here to get them all hidden before the kids and us get home from church.

Eggs everywhere !!!!!!Hubbie went early as the Deacons were there to welcome everyone today.
The sunrise service was really pretty this morning at our church parking lot.
My nephew's fiancée went to Chimney Rock to the sunrise service and it was a very pretty morning for the service there also.

Our church was packed today as the music was special and Pastor Craig delivered the message of the love of our Savior.
After church we all came home to have ham, scalloped potatoes, squash casserole, green beans, corn, biscuits, deviled eggs, salad and iced tea with lemon poke cupcakes Re made for lunch.

The kids were so excited about egg hunting again and took off like shots when we opened the door and turned them out in the back yard.

I also bought all the kids bubble wands to play with on this beautiful , actually hot 77 degree afternoon.
BB and RL found the old pop gun and Aa gave them shooting lessons !!!

All the kids together are so cute !!!!
Re wasn't feeling well so they left early before the family picture times.
#1 son's family.....
Daughter's family......
The entire family......
Bother  sister love .......
After all the fun was over and everyone headed home hubbie and I ran to Ingles for a couple things we needed and then came back home to spend more time with this young man. G-son is getting so big it is hard to believe !!
#1 son brought his vehicles up to the shop to change the brake pads on them and while hubbie helped him g-son stayed inside with me having snacks and watching TV.
After chores were done and son and g-son left hubbie and I relaxed for the evening to end a beautiful Easter Sunday. We couldn't have asked for a better day or a more fun day.
Thankful tonight for the empty tomb and the Savior who sits at the feet of the Father and provides for us grace and forgiveness.
God Bless, Good Night and Happy Easter.
