I went out to get the chores done and emptied 1/10th inch of rain only from the gauge from a light overnight shower.
RL was in a singing mood this morning with her new microphone I got her for her birthday.
I came back home from dropping her at pre-school and had breakfast. IR was already sleepy but refused to go down for a nap. While hubbie played with her I went through my photos looking for September decade pics.
This pretty much took until it was time to go back and pick up RL. She ate chicken nuggets and went to sleep as usual.
When we got home hubbie carried her in and put her to bed as usual but she woke up immediately and refused to go back to sleep.
IR had just woke up from a very short nap also so we all had lunch and then the girls played the afternoon away while hubbie and I took turns doing little jobs and watching them.

After the girls were picked up hubbie and I got the chores done then worked getting ready for the hurricane flooding that looks like is coming our way now.
We cleaned out all the driveway ditches .
We had easy digging after the 7/10ths inch of rain that fell this afternoon in a thunder storm that passed through our area.
Now all the models are showing a worse case scenario for our area as it turns south and comes directly up over our area.
It looks like the tropics are trying to make up for a none event August all at one time with all this activity going on right now.
I fear the coastline where we have vacationed several years around Oak Island and Holden Beach will be changed forever in this storm surge.
Thankful for the blessings of this day and for the knowledge that God will get us through this storm as well as all the other storms in life.
