MONTANA DAY 4

Hubbie and  I were up and off to breakfast early today. They were serving some left over rib eye steaks from a dinner last night and I've never had steak for breakfast but I had to try it and man was it ever good. Fork tender and wood fired flavor that was delicious.
As we walked back to the cabin we had a conversation with one of the designers of this lodge who is staying next door with her family. She let us know the property all around us belongs to the lodge , all 1200 acres of it so if we have time we can do some more exploring.
We came back in the cabin and worked on our computers until #2 son and Tif had their breakfast.
We headed back to Yellowstone to go further down to the Yellowstone Lake section today.

We passed more beauty and more bison on the way there.

The lake was huge and so beautiful with crystal clear water.

We had lunch at the Yellowstone lake in this fabulous wood designed lodge and cafeteria .

From there we headed to the Prismatic Springs geyser field. These were truly amazing.

Next stop was actually outside the park at a wolf and bear sanctuary which we were very disappointed in when we saw how small it was. But we did get to get up close with a grizzly bear and a couple wolves.

And they had a rapture enclosure that had some interesting predatory birds in it including the Bald Eagle which I did see one fly over us today but couldn't get a picture in the  wild.

We went back into the park by the western entrance and headed north. We went through a section of road for the first time and saw some new sights like this viaduct road and waterfall.

There was the same road construction project we had to go through the other night going on and we lucked up and made it through pretty quickly today.

Just past the construction we had to stop and make pics of this Big Horned Sheep that was having its dinner along the river bank.

As we passed through the Mammoth village these elk were lounging on the island in the middle of the road.
And there is always some of these Pronghorn Antelope hanging out in this area.

We stopped in Gardener to have supper at the Rosie's Bistro the same place we had lunch last Sunday and it was so good.
We had another delicious meal here and then came out to a beautiful setting sun.

As we drove home we had to stop twice for large herds of Elk invading the farmers irrigated fields.

This last herd was the largest herd I could imagine and I can't think what will be left of the fields all these guys get into.

We made it back to the cabin just as the sun was leaving its last color streaks across the sky this evening.

Thankful and filled with wonder for all the blessings God put before us today.
God Bless and Good Night
