Monday morning blaaas were all around this morning as both g-son and RL seemed to be having a bad start to their days.
Hubbie got g-son to school and we both drove RL to pre-school then stopped by market to pick up somethings daughter needed and then stopped at Sav Mor grocery store for some spices to make more of the chow chow with.
We came home to get laundry started and hubbie had some work to do outside. Laundry took much longer and was much more labor intense as my older washer still won't spin without getting unbalanced. On the second load today I got a pool noodle and wrapped it around the top of the tub to make it spin more uniformly and it worked enough for me to get todays 3 loads washed. Hubbie has gotten an idea off the web where other folks have had the same problem that we can do later this week when he gets some rubber tubing to stabilize the tub.
Daughter came over with IR and CA about 11:30 to drop off CA and take my Honda so she and IR could go pick up RL from pre-school today. We have an engineer with Duke Energy coming at noon to meet with us about ideas we might be able to do with the leaning pine tree. We are hoping to get out power lines put underground.
The meeting was very informative and the engineer was really nice but he said the cost of setting another pole and running the lines underground would be between $5-6,000 which is way out of our budget. He did however take pics of the tree and offer to call a friend of his that might be able to take the tree down for us.
Daughter brought both the girls home and we all had lunch together. We let the girls play awhile then daughter took IR and CA home to get naps and RL took a nap here.
Daughter brought IR and CA back just as d-in-love got her from work and the two of them went over to the kid's sale to pick up their things that didn't sell.
All the girls awake from their recent naps were in good moods.
I took this pic and thought IR was in the kitchen with Pawpaw but she snuck in the pic also then when I tried to get her to be in the next pic she ran off to play.
Today has been a really cloudy cool day with a little bit of drizzly rain early in the morning but no more during the day.
After the moms got back and took all the kids home hubbie and I got our chores done. I walked this evening in the cooler air and it felt really good to outside and not sweat for a change.
One of my guinea hens are missing and spent some time searching for her right at dark tonight as I don't want another batch of chicks this close to cold weather.
We relaxed for the evening and got an early bedtime.
Thankful for the blessings of this day.
God Bless and Good Night
