Up to greet all the grands on a frosty 30 degree morning but the sun looks like it will shine today.
Hubbie took g-son to school, I got chores done and then took RL to pre-school. She was disappointed that IR didn't want to come along this morning. IR had a long active weekend and didn't sleep well at the Great Wolf Lodge so she is extra tired this morning.
I came back home and got a load of laundry started. I've decided to do smaller loads so that the washer will spin them correctly so I needed to get the first load started early.
IR and CA were good this morning , CA took a good nap and IR just wanted to rest in Hubbie's lap most of the morning. I still only got one load of laundry finished before it was time to go pick up RL.
I cook mac and cheese and packed a picnic lunch to take to the park since it is such a nice sunny, warm day. Probably the one decent weather day of the week according to the forecasters.
We decided to try the East Flat Rock again since it is all sunny and the dark rubber mats help to keep it warmer.
Thankfully there was only a couple other families there and we had our lunch and then the girls played. CA was content to sit and watch from her carseat today.
After about an hour the "home schoolers" descended on the park with their bigger kids slinging sticks and riding around on skate boards so we rounded up the girls against their protest and headed home.
I have nothing against home schooling for sure but you shouldn't bring older kids to the park and put your lawn chairs in a circle and never look at what your kids are doing. As we loaded in the car I heard a little girl scream "he hit me in the eye" hopefully she wasn't hit with a stick and wasn't hurt badly.
CA went to sleep on the way home. I ran into Ingles for a couple things we are out of and the big girls were really good sitting with Pawpaw and waiting for me in the car.
We had a nice afternoon playing and I got more laundry done.
After the girls were picked up hubbie and I got chores done and Aa's and here. I raked the dirt back up on a bank above the upper driveway where the rogue hen who insist on flying out of the lots and the guineas keep scratching it all down in the driveway.
We came inside and had supper then hubbie watched a race and I watched UNC loose another basketball game by 1 point. This is definitely not a good year for them.
I finished getting the last load of laundry out of the dryer at 9pm tonight but the washer worked fine by adding only 1 more load than usual.
