ERRAND DAY

 We went to bed last night to the sound of lightly falling rain and woke to the same. Elsa only gave us 1/2 inch on her way north but that is better than nothing and we might get more later today. I got chores done and then grabbed a breakfast bar and cup of coffee for another busy morning. We loaded up in the Honda with a couple cake orders and a long list of errands to get done today. First we stopped at the PO then we picked up our Aldi curbside order, then stopped in Lowes for some liquid sevin to try and fend off the squash beetles that are infesting out cucumber vines. Next stop was the Curb Market where I met a couple cake customers and chatted with a couple friends. We left there and went to Sav Mor grocery for a couple things and then to the bank. Our last stop was at Joanne's fabrics to pick up fabric for a couple baby quilts for my 2 new grand daughters that are coming in September.   We came home to meet daughter here with all three girls and lunches. D-in-love-A went to lunch with a retired teacher and RL was with daughter. We all had a good lunch and the girls played until d-in-love-A got back from her lunch. She took IR and RL with her and daughter took CA home for a nap.  Hubbie and I went outside to get some garden work done and we trimmed the large cottonwood tree that keeps sprouting branches upward toward the power lines.  We also replaced the dirt berm in front of the large hen house door with a couple large rocks that were nearby. The hens had scratched holes in the berm and I was afraid it was going to cave in when I stepped on it.  We picked more squash bugs off the garden plants, hubbie found more on the cantelopes and zuchinni plants then he strayed with liquid sevin.  We don't normally use insecticide on our vegetables but I don't want to take a chance on loosing the things like we did last year. We came inside and cooled off and I made another cake delivery then came home to get chores done.  We ended the evening sitting out in the covered patio and relaxing.
