Monday morning with all the grandkids here comes around again and we are starting another busy week. I stayed with the girls while hubbie took g-son to school and then I got chores done when he got back. The weather is cool and humid this morning after a night of 1.5 inches of rain. The wind is picking up also. Back inside I had breakfast with the girls and then had them pose with their matching outfits I had bought for them in an after Christmas sale last year.
I actually couldn't believe I got as good of a picture as I did and shortly after I snapped CA took off and refused to come back for any more pics. RL and IR didn't mind posing anytime for me as they were proud to have matching outfits. I did 3 loads of weekly laundry between playing with the girls and waiting on them. We went out once today to go pick up lunch and that gave CA a good nap time. She is in such a better mood after she gets a long nap. After the girls left hubbie and I got chores done including re-covering the winter vegetables with plastic and got all the quilts and blankets back out to cover the plastic as the temp is suppose to dip well down into the mid to low 20's tonight. We brought in another head of broccoli and a bag of lettuce so we won't need to uncover the beds until the weather warms a little. Thankful for all the blessings of this day and thankful for the Reason for this Season, Jesus Christ. God Bless, Good Night and Merry ChristmasI AM A HARDWORKING,COUNTRY LIVING, GOD LOVING, WIFE, MOTHER, NEENA & MIMI. WELCOME ALONG ON THIS JOURNEY AS I STRIVE TO GLORIFY THE LORD IN ALL THAT I DO.

BEAUTIFUL FUN SUNDAY
Slept in a little this morning to a leisurely Sunday . We aren't having lunch today for the family because everyone has their own agendas today. I got chores done and had breakfast . Daughter called and ask if we wanted to go to the park with them this afternoon. D-in-love and RL came along as well and the girls had a good time playing and riding their bikes on this beautiful more like summer than December day .
Monkey see, monkey do !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We came home from the park and daughter helped RL and IR make some Christmas ornaments out of applesauce and cinnamon.
They had to bake in the oven at 200 degrees for 2 1/2 hours and they turned out really nice. They all left before the ornaments came out of the oven so they will be surprised tomorrow to see how they turned out. Hubbie and I got chores done and then we rested this evening getting ready for another busy week. Thankful for the blessings of this week and thankful for the Reason for the Season , Jesus Christ. God Bless, Good Night and Merry Christmas

FUN SATURDAY
Up a little earlier this morning to get chores done and get some cakes loaded up to make a couple deliveries to Flat Rock. I have a good friend, Susie who lives out that way and I am stopping by for a visit and to see her new goats she just got to clean up her back yard. These are her dogs and the new goats in her Christmas card.
I had a very nice visit with Susie and then daughter came by her house to say hi and I left and went with her a couple places that she needed to go and sat with the girls in the van. I came home and did some house cleaning before chore time. Hubbie grilled the rest of the cat fish that d-in-love's mom brought to us tonight and we had that with coconut rice and fresh collard greens from the garden. We relaxed for the evening and I had a nice catch up call with sis-in-law Sandy to finish out a very good day. Thankful for the blessings of this and for the Reason for Season, Jesus Christ. God Bless, Good Night and Merry Christmas

OUTSIDE PLAY DAY
Up to RL and IR crawling into bed with me and snuggling down to get warm. After we got up I did chores and then came in to grab a quick meal bar breakfast so we could go pick up our curbside Sam's Club order. We brought that home and I sat in the car with the girls while hubbie unloaded the groceries and put things away. Next we headed back to town to pick up our Aldi grocery order and then picked up lunch on the way home. It is a beautiful warm sunny day. After we all ate lunch the girls wanted to play outside for a while so we were glad to take them out in the fresh air.
We played outside the entire afternoon and the girls enjoyed it so much. We came inside to have a snack and they all layed and watched cartoons until their moms arrived to pick them up. The covid -19 virus seems to be running rampant right now in the school system and everywhere else. We are all wearing mask and staying away from everyone we can. They released a controversial vaccine today and I am wondering how many people they will convince to take the vaccine. It won't be offered to the general public for months and no telling how many folks will die from it before then. North Carolina broke another record today with 7540 cases in 24 hours. The governor put into effect tighter measures to hopefully curb the increase in cases by closing all business at 10 pm and no alcohol can be served after 9pm. Like I have said before this pandemic has surely opened my eyes as to how most folks feel about a little inconvenience to themselves to help out their fellow man. After we got chores done this evening I made cakes and then relaxed for the evening. Thankful for the blessings of this day and thankful for the Reason for the Season, Jesus Christ. God Bless, Good Night and Merry Christmas

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO #1 SON AND D-IN-LOVE
Up this morning to greetings from IR and CA as they came in. Daughter is taking g-son to school this morning since she was running late and got him there the same time as hubbie taking him. That meant IR could climb into bed with we and we could get some extra snuggle time under the covers before starting the day. IR was happy this morning after seeing this pic of her elf , Bell , taking a selfie with her to show to Santa.
I got chores done and uncovered the vegetable beds and also rolled back the plastic tunnels on two of them so they could soak up some fresh air and sunshine from this 60's temperature day. Thankful for days like this in winter as they sure make the cold dreary days much easier to take. I came back inside and had breakfast with IR and CA. We spent the morning playing and then got loaded up to make a stop at the P.O. to mail a market bill that needed to be paid and then made a stop for lunch. It is a beautiful day but still not warm enough for the girls to play outside especially with their runny noses this week. They played good this afternoon and hubbie and I took turns entertaining them and getting them snacks. Daughter picked them up and then we got chores done. I put away the quilt and blanket covers for the plastic tunnels for a few days as it is suppose to be more like spring temps the next few days.Today is #1 son and d-in-love's 15th anniversary. It does not seem like it has been that long since I watched them get into son's pick-up truck and head off from their wedding reception to begin their new life together. Happy Anniversary to them, may they have many many more.
Thankful for the blessings of this day and thankful for the Reason for the Season, Jesus Christ.

Don't have anything really to say tonight about this routine day. All three grand girls were here today. I got morning chores done , had breakfast and then went out to run our weekly errands with all the girls. Ate lunch when we got back and then the girls played the afternoon away. This is a different post I know but I didn't think to make any pics today but will try to do better tomorrow. Thankful for the blessings of this day and thankful for the Reason for the Season, Jesus Christ . God Bless, Good Night and Merry Christmas

RECOVERY DAY
Well I had an interesting night and early morning. When I was taking a bath last night I started to feel very dizzy. It wasn't so bad if I sat up straight and held my head still but I wondered how I was going to sleep. I got into bed and layed down and the dizziness finally got better but it had made me nauseous. As I layed very still hoping I could get to sleep ways of nausea started sweeping over me and I finally headed for the bathroom. I was surprised to find I wasn't dizzy anymore when I moved around at least. I made several trips to the bathroom and I decided that it was one of my stomach attacks. Thankfully the pain wasn't as bad as it usually is and I have never felt the dizziness leading up to the attacks but that was what it felt like. Finally about 5am I drifted off to sleep and woke up with the alarm with a sore abdomen and a slight headache. Hubbie didn't know anything went on as he slept right through it and I never felt bad enough to wake him. I figured there was no use in both of us losing sleep. IR and CA were here this morning and playing in the living room when I got up. I went outside in the cold 30 degree morning and got chores done and took the covers off all our vegetable beds. I came back inside and had a very light breakfast with everyone. My stomach feels very tender today. I rested most of the morning and then we loaded up and went to Tractor Supply to pick up chicken feed and picked up lunch on the way home. We all ate lunch and then the girls played and I cleaned house and got some cakes baked. Ca took a short nap when we were out this morning and IR went to sleep this afternoon laying in my lap. It was all I could do not to fall asleep also but I didn't want to ruin a good night's sleep tonight even with the sleeplessness of last night. After daughter picked them up hubbie and I got chores done and then re-covered all the beds as tonight is supposed to be another low 20's night. I did some computer work this evening and then headed for an early bedtime to catch up on my sleep. Thankful for the blessings of this day and for the Reason for the Season, Jesus Christ. God Bless, Good Night and Merry Christmas
