SWIMMING SUNDAY

Sunday mornings are always nice and slow.  We got an overnight rain that left over 3/10ths inch in the gauge which we are thankful for.  I got chores done and then grabbed a cup of coffee and a bar before meeting with daughter's family to go to a pool that d-in-love is a member at.  It is called Cleghorn Golf Plantation and is in Rutherford county.  D-in-love's family and d-in-love-Tif are also meeting us there. It is about a 40 minute drive.  It is a very nice large pool and everyone was glad we got these shaded seats.

The water was very clean and for a while after we got there we were the only ones in the pool.

I was given the job of caring for IR's flamingo and was soon joined by CA who wanted to help.

#1 son was helping g-son's friend Nicolas who came down to the pool also with his mom and sister how to dive into the pool with doing a belly flop.

G-son is great diver and swimmer.

We had lunch there from the restaurant delivered right to us by the pool which was really nice.  We stayed until late afternoon and then headed home as it got really hot down there in the foothills. It was good to get back to the mountains and the cool breeze.   Hubbie and I spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying the restful Sunday out in the covered patio.
After a supper of some fresh potatoes out of the oven we got chores done then worked a little in the garden. I picked our first beans and squash from our summer garden this evening.  These purple beans are very early so I am going to need to remember to plant more of these in the years to come.

We will eat well tomorrow. This is my favorite time of year with fresh garden produce each day.
Thankful for the wonderful blessings of this day.
God Bless and Good Night
