DAUGHTER HAS A CANNING DAY

Thankfully we got to rest in some this morning as we were both tired form the late bedtime last night.        I got chores done and then we cleaned all the canning utensils from the kitchen and got started on family lunch makings. We had cooked stew beef all night in the crockpot and made gravy from the stock to create chipped beef to go over some Jasmine rice I cooked plus green beans, glazed carrots, corn, some canned collard greens that I was given and biscuits.                                                                                                      #1 son's family, daughter's family and Aa's family joined us for lunch and everyone had a nice visit and the kids had fun playing together. After a little playtime they all headed home. Daughter came back with the girls and her canning supplies to make her a batch of pasta sauce from some of the tomatoes left in the sunroom. After we weighed out 12 pounds for her recipe there was still so many tomatoes left.                    She has canned before so all I had to do was watch and hand her things so my back muscles got a rest today.

She ended up with 14 pint jars of pasta sauce and some to take home to eat now.   After she and the girls went home I put away some laundry and then watched the news before heading out to get chores done.   After chores hubbie and I sat out in the covered patio and enjoyed the nice cool Fall feeling air that is here for this week.

Thankful for a very blessed Sunday and to be blessed with a loving Heavenly Savior.

God Bless and Good Night

Wow, you have really been busy with all the canning. Lots of "goodies" to see you thru the winter. Blessings
