I got chores done and then put a turkey breast in the pressure pot to cook while we are at church along with the boiled potatoes and corn on the cob cooking on the stove to stay warm while we're gone.
Church was good we prayed for all the school employees and kids starting a new school year tomorrow. G-son is in this group but he is behind some bigger folks and can't be seen and d-in-love is to the far right standing alone.
EL and AD are excited to be going to the same elementary school EL in kindergarten and AD in 2nd grade.
We had lunch of the turkey breast, potatoes , corn, green beans, fried squash, dressing, gravy ,
sour dough toast and sweet tea with all the kids here today. Tif had great news of her mother who had originally been diagnosed with cancer after more testing they can't find cancer now anywhere thankfully.
We all had a wonderful visit today to go along with the good food.
After everyone left hubbie and I watched the little league world series championship game between Hawaii and South Korea which Hawaii won then watched a pretty severe storm by pass us with only a few streaks of lightening that blinked the lights and delivered loud thunder claps before it skirted to the west of our area with only a sprinkle of rain for us.
We did chores and then took the rabbit guard fence down at the end of the garden and pulled the chicken tractor in what used to be the pumpkin patch to begin the clearing of the weeds .
This is our pumpkin and banana squash crop for the year.
We still have a couple of these beauties that we left on their green vines.
We relaxed for the evening to end a perfect Sunday.
Thankful for the blessings of this day.
