FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL 2018

Up at 7am this morning to greet g-son and g-daughter RL and g-daughter IR . This is the first day of school and g-son is riding with daughter to school since the middle school and high school are next door to each other.
I fixed him a plate of waffles and syrup to have when he got to daughter's room which is where he will stay until closer to time for school to take up.
After they left RL and IR knew something was going on today and both were pretty out of sorts all morning. They kept picking on one another and then someone always ended up crying, usually both of them cried.
After I got the chores done and had breakfast I gathered the weekly laundry and RL went downstairs with me to help with the laundry.
Everyone had pics made this morning on their way to school. The beginning of 6th grade and middle school for my handsome g-son.
The 2nd grade in a new school for AD.
EL started Kindergarten today.
CO started a 4 year old half day pre-school class today.
And BB started a 3 day  half day  3 year old pre-school today.
The big school girls ……
And the  pre-schoolers ……
Everyone looked ready to meet the challenges of this new school year !!!
Both RL and IR  got really tired early so we gave them an early lunch from the left overs from yesterday.

We decided to take them to a nearby park and let them tire themselves out but neither of them made it to the park !!!
We turned around and brought them inside and layed them on the couches where they both took short naps. At least hubbie and I got to have our lunch and I got more laundry done before they woke up.
We are going to have to come up with another sleeping arrangement for them because if one of them makes any noise at all even in their sleep it wakes the other one up.
It took hubbie and me both to take care of these crabby girls this afternoon.
After their moms picked them up Re brought BB over to stay with us while she took all 3 girls to their gymnastics class.
He is a sweet little boy and loved playing on the slide and outside while hubbie and I did chores and gleaned in the garden.

All we found today in the garden was tomatoes.
BB loved giving the bad ones to the chickens and watching them peck them.
Re came after him and they went home for a late supper and hubbie and I came inside for a snack since we weren't really hungry after our late lunch.
Thankful that all the kids seemed to have a great first day at school and praying that they all have a good year and learn a lot.
God Bless and Good Night

Oh happy day. The first day of school. Around here all the Christian schools started last week and public schools start next week. Can't believe how big all the kids have gotten. Blessings
