RAINY MONDAY

Another rough night with shin pain and restless sleep coupled with pouring rain that was a continuous roar early this morning leaves me feeling pretty shaky this morning. IR and CA were here early as daughter went to work. She probably shouldn't have worked today as she had the covid vaccine yesterday and was up all night with body aches and fever last night. She got the Johnson and Johnson shot since her doctor said that would be the best for her and she was very glad she got that one since she had such a reaction to it and it is said to cause the least side effects.  Anyway the tropical storm Fred is already unlinching his fury on WNC as some parts are already flooded this morning after over 6 inches of rain. Thankfully we have only gotten 1.75 inches of rain so far. I got chores done in a light rain and then had breakfast with the girls. I got weekly laundry started and then played with the girls until lunch time. After lunch the sun was shining so we decided to go pick up chicken feed today as I only have enough for maybe a couple more days. We drove to Fletcher feed and CA went to sleep and took a good long nap even after we got back and put her on the couch. We also stopped at Ingles in Fletcher to pick up some fresh milk and some waffles for the girls breakfast. It was raining by the time we got home so we left the feed in the Honda.  IR ate another lunch of PBJ sandwich and then helped me with laundry this afternoon. We got 3 loads done and then hubbie and I picked a break in the rain took the girls home. Daughter had left work early because she isn't feeling well and went home to take a nap. We came home and got the feed unloaded and the chores done including hubbie picking some more tomatoes that are ripening before the next wave of rain came in. We made it back inside just as the huge raindrops started pelting down. We watched the news and it looks like tomorrow will be a severe weather day for our area.

Fred is just making landfall now and hopefully will pick up speed by the time he gets inland.
By the time we got back out to shut up the chickens we had gotten another 1/2 inch of rain and the end of the garden looks like a lake. Hoping my raspberry plants and winter squash survive all this water.
We came inside and I baked 6 caramel cakes and then caught up my blog post. Thankful my knee is feeling much better tonight. Praying for a good nights sleep.
Thankful for the blessings of this day and praying that daughter has no more ill effects from the vaccine.
God Bless and Good Night
