GARDEN PLANTING DAY

Only one g-daughter this morning as IR's other g-ma Connie is coming up to stay with her today instead of tomorrow.
RL acted like she was lost this morning without IR.  I got chores done while hubbie and her had breakfast .
He went with me to drop RL off at pre-school then we headed up to Blantyre to the plant house to get our garden plants. We are making this trip a little late this year and some of the plants were getting too big but we got what we needed and I think they will do fine.
We bought tomato, pepper, and cucumber plants plus a huge hanging pot with little tomatoes already ripening for only $10.
We stopped by Sam's Club on our way home and did our weekly shopping since we will have IR all day tomorrow.
We bought a rotisserie chicken for our lunch since we didn't get home until 11:30.
We unloaded the Honda and had lunch before we tackled the garden in the hot sunny afternoon.
Hubbie tilled while I collected all our seed.
We planted green beans, squash, cucumbers, okra and set out all our plants.

Whew !!! we were both wore out by the time we finished and got everything fertilized and watered the plants since the clouds that looked like they were going to produced the promised rain have vanished.

I went to the house and planted all the herb plants daughter got for me at the herb festival this past weekend in pots around the yard and carried water to all the plants I had moved outside.
Then I took a much needed rest break in the front porch rocker.
Someone else was doing some planting this afternoon as g-daughter RL was planting flowers on their porch and looked pretty proud of herself.
We did chores and then I went to work on weekly paperwork and bill paying until Survivor came on TV.
After the show I spent the rest of the evening icing cakes and getting things ready for market.
Thankful for the blessings of health and strength this day and for the everlasting love of Jesus Christ.
God Bless and Good Night
