BEST DAY SO FAR AT PRE-SCHOOL FOR IR

Another rainy morning !!!   Hubbie got g-son to school, I did the chores and then took RL and IR to pre-school . IR was making a concerted effort to not cry about going to school today.
Instead of her begging me not to make her go to school today her and RL played "I spy" all the way to school.
She walked in and told her teacher that she wasn't going to cry today and I left her happily helping her teacher place all the valentines she brought in the other kids envelopes.
Of course RL always goes right into her class without any hesitation.
I came home and had breakfast with CA and Hubbie. The rain stopped about mid morning and we decided to go into town with CA so she would take a nap riding in the car and make a couple thrift store stops. At the first stop I lucked out and found a $100 pair of new tennis shoes for only $10.
We picked up the girls and IR had a smile still on her face as she watched for me out the window of her classroom.

Her teacher said she had a fantastic day and no crying at all.
We went to McDonalds for lunch and RL met a little boy named Forest that she knew from school. He is in the class ahead of RL but knew her.
They hit it off right away and sat together for lunch with his g-mother.

We had a good lunch and then came home to play the afternoon away.

The sun broke out for a short time today and it was in the upper 60's but it is so muddy we couldn't go outside.
The girls love each other so much right now and I sure pray that love continues throughout their lifetimes and they always are BFFs.

We had a short time between the time these girls left and EL came in so we hurried through chores.
EL is coming to stay while her mom and dad go with BB to his pre-school's Valentine's dinner.
EL has been sick all week getting an ear infection after having the flu last week.
She watched a movie and had a good supper while she was here.
She is such a quiet good kid we never know she is even here.
Her parents picked her up about 7:30 and then hubbie and I had a bowl of soup that had been cooking in the instant pot. It was very good soup just made from some dried beans, potatoes, vegetables I had in the frig and some fresh Collards from the winter garden.
We rested a little and went to bed early tonight as hubbie still feels pretty bad with a head cold and I feel like I have caught it also tonight.
There was another 1 inch of rain in the gauge tonight and it is raining again out there tonight.
Thankful for the blessings of this day.
God Bless and Good Night
