WAITING FOR THE HEAVY RAINS

Up to greet IR and CA at regular time this morning. RL came a little later because g-son has an early morning doctor appointment today so d-in-love is taking him and going in late to work after dropping him at school.
There was a rare morning rainbow this morning.
I got chores done then took RL and IR to pre-school today. IR didn't want to go and cried off and on all the way there but went in without much protest so hopefully she'll have a good day.
I came home and CA was sleeping so I had breakfast then got started on sorting some tax papers.
Hubbie, CA and I left early to pick up the older girls so we could stop at our favorite thrift shop. We didn't find anything there and had time to hit up Goodwill but didn't find anything there either.
We drove up to the church to pick the girls up and had a nice surprise as IR was at the window of her classroom watching for us with some of her new friends. IR is in the pink coat.

Her teacher said she had a great day and stopped crying right away this morning. We picked her and RL up and they wanted to go to McDonalds for lunch and ice cream.
The McDonalds we went to wasn't crowded at all and the girl taking our order was wonderful and made quick friends with the girls.

All three girls ate a great lunch then RL and IR got ice cream to enjoy.

We came home and the girls played all afternoon.
They were glad to see g-son come in from school since he was their new playmate.

After all the kids left hubbie and I got our chores done. The strings and pie pans seem to be working for keeping the hawks at bay at least so far.
I did some walking this evening since the light rain that fell earlier in the afternoon had stopped after only leaving .3" in the gauge.
Our weather forecast is for some heavy rains and flooding over the next couple days.

The local weather folks are not in agreement on the amount of rainfall for our area. One says 7" the other 3". We sure hope it is closer to the 3" mark.

We had a restful evening.
Thankful for the blessings of this day.
God Bless and Good Night
