3rd SUNDAY OF ADVENT ,LIT THE CANDLE FOR JOY

G-son arrived early this morning as his mom and dad took their anniversary trip to see the Carolina Panthers ballgame in Charlotte,NC.
Daughter had picked up hubbie earlier to help her in her Sunday School class so it was just me and g-son getting ready to go to church.
He was hungry and ate 2 waffles while I did chores and got ready. He was worried we would be late and he had to get his little bread container full of change there for the kids who don't get anything for Christmas.

We made it right on time and he went in proudly carrying his heavy little donation.
The service today was a Christmas chorus of songs put on by our choir.
When we got home we decided since #2 son was working and would be getting off shortly we would have Sub-Way for lunch so Hubbie,daughter,g-son and I made a quick supply stop at Walmart then picked up sandwiches at Sub-way.
#2 son was just getting home as we pulled into the driveway so he followed us up and we all had lunch together.
Hubbie was going to change daughter's oil while she and I went to a little Christmas get-together with some of her neighbors.
It was a nice afternoon, we met several of her neighbors that we had never seen before and had fun getting to know them while eating my caramel cake and drinking coffee and hot tea.
We went back down to her house and tryed for some Christmas card photos for her but decided we needed a better camera and better lighting.

Although I thought this was a good picture of the 2 of them.
We got home just barely before dark and I rushed though chores and them played with g-son until his dad came after him. While daughter and I were at our party he and Pawpaw created another gingerbread goodie for this year.

He had already eaten some of the candy off it before I saw it but he had enough piled on so you couldn't tell !!

Under the supervision of Dolly he was still rearranging the ornaments tonight !!

As I watched the news and weather tonight I shook my head as we are still on quite a roller coaster ride and by mid-week we will feel like it is spring again with 60 degree temps.

At least we aren't looking for a snow storm like we were the last couple years at this time.
Grateful for the joy of the season and the love of our Lord each day.
Good Night and God Bless.

I NEVER HAD A GINGERBREAD HOUSE. I DON'T KNOW IF I COULD EVER MAKE ONE. MAYBE SOMEONE WILL BAKE ME ONE BEFORE I GET MUCH OLDER. YOUR FAMILY SOUNDS DELIGHTFUL.
