RAIN WITH SPRING TEMPERATURES

Another rainy day as I slogged through morning chores and checked out the plants in the greenhouse to make sure they got their drink also.
It is un-normally warm today with the temperature reaching 60 degrees before lunch. I got a good soaking while outside this morning.
After drying off and finishing breakfast and my daily crossword puzzle that I'm trying to do each morning to exercise my brain along with a walk to exercise my body.
I started laundry and house cleaning before lunch, looking forward to getting to my decorating.
After lunch I contacted a couple Avon customers to let them know their order was ready, then got started on my decorations.
I have some new things this year. I love nativity sets and this one came from the estate sale place I go to regularly.

It was a funny thing that happened just last week at this same estate sale place when they had a larger ceramic nativity set and I placed a bid on it but never heard from them. I actually forgot I had bought this one until I was searching in my office for something else a couple days ago. I think I actually like this one better than the one I got out bid on this time so things worked out for me.

This is a different look for the old wood stove but I like it.

This snowman plaque is another new addition that daughter got for me,I really love this and it has a prominent position on the stove also.

I have a small village that I have used for years made up of misc. pieces I've picked up here and there. But when I went into the Salvation Army thrift shop a couple weeks ago and spotted this New England Village series set and the worker there said she needed the room it was taking and if I was interested she would make me a deal if I took all of it how could I refuse at $8.00.

Now I can have fun looking for more pieces to make an entire town. I just need to come up with a larger display area. I looked these up on E-bay and each piece was selling for $10.00 so I feel like I got a good deal and they are so pretty.
I'm almost done now with inside decorations just getting the ornaments on the tree which I couldn't do tonight because I would have been between hubbie and the TV.
Hopefully tomorrow the rain will stop and I can finish the outside also.
It has rained lightly all day, only about 6/10ths of an inch but it is raining heavier tonight as I type this I can hear the pouring rain. It is still unbelievably 59 degrees at 11:00,whew !! Tomorrow night they are  predicting snow !!!! What a difference a day makes in this mountain weather !!
I had cooked some chicken breast in the crock pot all day and tonight I made some brown rice, corn and green beans. It was more than hubbie and I could eat so I called #2 son and daughter  and they both stopped by and took plates home for thier suppers tonight.
Had to call the phone company today to come fix our telephone as the static is so bad you can't hear on it, especially when it's raining. They are supposed to come fix it by Friday evening. If it weren't for internet I wouldn't even have a land line phone but out where we are it is the only affordable internet option.
Thanking God for the blessings of today and praying that He be with me tomorrow and each day there after.
Good night and God Bless.

YOUR CHRISTMAS VILLAGE IS A BARGAIN. I ALWAY LOVED GOING TO GOODWILL OR WHATEVER JUST TO LOOK. SOMETIME YOU FIND JUST WHAT YOU NEED. PLUS, IT'S FUN FOR A DAY OUT WITH THE GIRLS. YOU ARE SO BLESS TO LEAD THE LIFE YOU HAVE THERE IN THE MOUNTAINS.

We got SNOW today... SO I'll be you get it tonight/tomorrow. We only had an inch but it was so pretty since it was the wet kind which clings to everything...

I put 11 pictures on Facebook if you want to look.

Hugs,

We also finished our decorating. We like to do it early so we can sit back and enjoy. I have no idea where all this rain is going to go.
