SPRING DAY IN DECEMBER

Wow, out without even a jacket this morning during chores. When I got back inside the phone rang and as I strained my ears to hear the person on the other end giving me a cake order I realized my phone did not get fixed last week. I have been wondering why I have never even got a check in call from the phone company. I called them back with all the noise on the line and they said a technician was dispatched last Friday but said he couldn't (for some unknown reason) get to it. So I asked what they planned on doing about the noise because I wasn't paying anymore for a phone I couldn't hear over.
Within 30 minutes a technician was pulling into my yard !!  He was very nice, said he did not know what happened last week as he never got a work order to fix my phone. Anyway he said the problem wasn't even on my property, but in the near by main wiring box just out the road. He had it fixed in under 30 minutes. The most impressive thing he did was give me his personal cell phone # and tell me if I had  any problems even in the distant future to call him personally instead of going through the rigamarole at the office.  Wow I hope Santa is very good to this young man !!
After he left I went on a walk, the day is too nice not to enjoy some outside time.

Annie thought it was to nice not to take a dip in the creek for a cool drink.

I had to laugh out loud as I took this next photo at the thought that came into my head.

Hillbilly  Sparkling Water !!!!!!! HAHA !!

It was lunch time by the time I got back to the house. After I ate I cleaned the floors and did a load of laundry left over from yesterday. Then I was glad to get back outside to sweep the porches and just enjoy the warm 64 degree sunny day. I even hung the rugs I washed out on the line to dry.
After sitting in the outside patio for a little while I got a call from daughter that she was on her way home. I headed over to her house to try to get a better picture for a Christmas card.
Tipper her dog looks so much like the Grinch's dog she thought this antler would be a nice touch.

But Tipper did not agree !!!!

We took many pics and it was still hard to get a good pic without movement from Tipper who thought I was there to play with her.
My favorite  is this one.

God provided some spectacular colored lights of His own as I drove home this evening.

Just barely got chores done before it got dark. Hubbie is still over at daughter's helping her plant the Murray Cypress trees she bought last weekend. They wanted to get them in the ground before the rain that is supposed to start tomorrow evening. They worked by flashlight to finish the job.
I did weekly paperwork and payed bills and then iced 6 caramel , 1 chocolate and 2 coconut cakes.
Thanking God for a beautiful warm day to help fend off the winter blues.
Good Night and God Bless.

Good Morning, We had spring-like weather also yesterday. BUT--the rains and colder temps are coming today/tonight.

Love that photo of your daughter and her doggie... How does she like her new home? Bet she is very happy... I like her Christmas tree.

Have a good day. Glad you got your phone fixed.
Hugs,
Betsy
