THE VIEW FROM HERE ON THIS PERFECT SATURDAY

Off to market early this morning to beat the parade traffic. This is usually a slow market day because the parking lot fills with parade goers and they usually don't buy anything on their way  back to their cars. This is the nicest weather we've had on this day in the last 2 years so I expect a big crowd. The past 2 years it has actually been blowing snow during the parade and very cold. Today it is 55 degrees with not a cloud in the sky.
Daughter and I are sitting here now watching all the strollers filled with kids and the people carrying chairs pass through on the way back to their cars and no one is even slowing down as they walk down the aisle.
Hubbie left going to Home Depot to pick up mulch for daughter's house and a  new leaf sweeper he can pull behind the lawn mower as the leaves in our yard have gotten way ahead of us this year.

Daughter left market to go toy shopping for the couple little boys we are buying Christmas for and while she was gone I got pretty busy for  a while and we ended up having a decent day after all.
Thank you Lord !
She got back just in time to help me load the van. Then she headed to her house to put out the mulch and I picked up hubbie and I a late sandwich lunch. A BOGO coupon at Jack In The Box for Sourdough Jacks sounded good to me since I had had no lunch.
We got unloaded and had our sandwich, they were pretty good but the bread was soaked in butter.
Good but not so good for you !!
I got out some outside decorations and got them plugged in before g-son and #1 son came in. Hubbie had a huge pile of leaves dumped in the garden and g-son wasted no time having a fun time in them.
Come on in pawpaw it's fun to jump into the middle of the pile !!

Just a pile of leaves, but wait I hear giggling !!!
And I see a head slowly emerging from the perfect hiding place.

He climbed on the cattle trailer and a chair to get height on his jumps as he slpashed down in the leaf pile.
He wanted a turn doing the raking, but of course that didn't happen !!
But I did let him have a turn with the camera ,he's a pretty good photographer.

He caught his dad working on his trailer.

We finally came inside when the sun went down and the chores were finished so we could warm up.
We had to turn on the nativity scene that I put out on the hill to see if it would still light up.
I have used this set for many years and each year it comes to life just as if it were new.

After son and g-son left hubbie and I had the last of our fresh broccoli for a light supper and them took some relaxation time. He is watching a ball game on TV and I am blogging.

I am a little behind on my "view from here" picture for this month so this was taken this evening just before the sun started down.
As you can see we have not had time to spread the logs and brush out that we had cut down last week.
I had to move the nativity set over some so it could be seen from the road.
I had plans to make a real dent in my Christmas decorations this evening but have decided that can wait as I had more important things to deal with this evening.
Like playing hide and seek  in the leaves !!!

And by the way thanks for the prayers from several blog friends, I feel fine today so what ever was bugging me yesterday seems to have passed, thanks for  caring !!!
To end this perfect day God sent a perfect sunset !!!
Each time I look at the sky especially with the colorful beauty of this evening I say a thankful, humble prayer for a creator who can create such majesty with such ease and grace.
I stood in the quiet peace of the evening and watched as the colors slowly slipped below the horizon and prayed a silent prayer of thankfullness for the season of the birth of His son sent to save the sinful souls of mankind.
Good Night and God Bless.

Sounds like a perfect day in North Carolina... Love those sunset pictures.

Our day was semi-cloudy --but fairly warm. Rain is coming tomorrow night or Monday I think..

Love that picture of your grandson playing in the leaves... AND--he took a great picture of you two also...

Our leaves have won the battle here also... It's always my job to blow and rake. But as you know this year's surgery prevented me from helping. George did the best he could (along with all of the other things he had to do)... BUT--I will have to get out there and work on the leaves sometime when I'm able. I still have 2 more weeks of not being able to pick up 15 pounds or more...

Have a blessed Sunday.
Hugs,
Betsy

It WAS a good day indeed. I just love the g-son having so much fun without an electronic game. Kids like him make me feel better about future generations...living and loving the outdoors.

LOVED READING YOUR DAYS EXPERIENCE. YOUR GRANDSON PLAYING IN THE LEAVES BRINGS BACK FOND THOUGHTS OF MY MOM RAKING THE LEAVES IN PILES THEN COULD CARE LESS IF WE JUMPED AND PLAYED IN THEM. AFTER THE FUN TIME WAS OVER OUR NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR WOULD GET MAD BECAUSE IT WAS TIME TO BURN ALL THE PILES. WHAT WAS NOM TO DO. BACK THEN THAT'S WHAT EVERYONE DID. THE AIR SMELL WAS THE SMELL OF FALL. TO ME IT WAS WONDERFUL AND TO BE HONEST, MOM WORKED SO HARD I DON'T THINK SHE REALLY CARED HOW THE NEIGHBOR FELT BECAUSE MOM WAS JUST SO TIRED DOING ALL THE YARD WORK. THEN WHEN [[ANNA]] WOULD VOICE HER OPINION ABOUT THE SMOKE SHE WOULD BE OVER IT. OF COURSE, ANNA ONLY HAD ONE SPOILED BOY AND MOM HAD FOUR OF US TO DEAL WITH.MOM BELIEVED IN LETTING US KIDS HAVE FUN WHERE ANNA WAS MRS. CLEAN.NO ONE DARE STEP ON HER LAWN OR RUN OVER ON HER LAWN TO GET A LOSE BALL.IN FACT SHE PUT UP A CHAIN LINK FENCE TO KEEP US IN OUR OWN YARD. DON'T GET ME WRONG MOM LIKED CLEAN BUT SHE ALSO KNEW HOW TO PLAY.PLUS, SHE REALLY DID LIKE ANNA. SHE JUST LET HER RUN OFF AT THE MOUTH AND MOM WOULD JUST SMILED.MOM WAS NEVER UPTIGHT ABOUT ANYTHING. AS LONG AS SHE HAD HER CHURCH ACTIVITIES AND THE FAMILY SHE WAS HAPPY. YOUR EVERYDAY LIFE REMINDS ME OF HER. ALWAY AT THE MARKET OR AT CHURCH
YOUR GRANDSON TOOK A GOOD SHOT OF YOU AND YOUR HUBBY. GOOD JOB. SWEET.
