ANOTHER SNOW DAY GETTING READY FOR THE BIG STORM

Woke by a phone call saying schools would be on a 2-hour delay today. I heard hubbie and daughter getting ready to go to work when this came through.
Hubbie doesn't work on the schools schedule  and daughter has to go in on time even if it is a delay.
I went back to sleep as I know #1 son is already at work and d-in-love will go in late on a delay morning.
About the time I was getting up at 8:00 the phone rang again with the news that school was canceled for today.
I looked outside to see a light dusting of snow and snow still falling.
A sticky snow in the low 30's temps stuck to everything creating very pretty pictures.
G-son arrived about 9:00 and the school sent all the teachers home around 9:30 so g-son had his aunt T here to entertain today.
I did 3 loads of laundry and started shredding 2003 tax papers and receipts to get ready to begin this year's taxes.
My shredder is small and over heats easily so I have to stop and go do something else until it cools down. It will take a while to get things all shredded.
I had some time to do some bird watching today. There was a feeding frenzy at the feeders before the snow storm gets here.
This Red Bellied Woodpecker shows off his "red belly".
This little Downy Woodpecker shares the suet with a Black Capped Chickadee.
This Cardinal seems to be singing while the wind whips his feathers around.

Later this afternoon we took Rebekah out to a car rental place to pick up her rental to drive since her SUV was totaled in her accident last Saturday.
We stopped back by Sam's to pick up g-son a slice of pizza for his supper.
His mom came after him shortly after we got home.
Daughter had went over to a friends house for  awhile this afternoon.
Aaron brought in fresh rolls of hay so the cattle can get their bellies full before the snow begins to fall.

After chores and  supper for hubbie and me I snuggled with my 4-legged kids for awhile.
The snow predictions for our area keep growing,it will be interesting to see how much we actually get.
It has been a long time since anyone around here has seen 14" of snow.   I just hope the heavy wet snow won't drag power lines down.
Praying for all the workers who will be out in the storm for the next couple days, may they all be safe.
Good Night and God Bless.

Sounds like you all are REALLY going to get ALOT of snow. They don't really know what we are going to get... Some say 1 inch and others are reporting 3-5 inches even for us... SO???? We will just have to wait and see... We are definitely on the far left side of that storm.

Stay SAFE.... Glad we didn't try to go to Cashiers tomorrow. Don't think we could make it.

Hugs,
Betsy

Praying you don't get all the snow and ice they are predicting and that you don't lose power. Also praying your family stays safe as I know your boys will have to work in the white stuff.

Wow, 2003 taxes are still sitting there? Good thing you finally got rid of those. Your shredder must have had a tough time that day. At least you were able to find an excuse to do some multitasking of your own while waiting for it to cool down.
