LOTS OF BANGING GOING ON

7am comes earlier than expected some days, this morning I couldn't find the phone when #1 son called as he came up the driveway.  I set an alarm for 7am so I will be awake when he calls but today he was a bit earlier than the alarm.
G-son has complained with a belly ache both days this week on the way to school. Once he gets his mind on something else we talk about the belly ache goes away.  Poor little guy, I wonder what is going on at school that has changed his desire to go ?
Back home I did the chores and had breakfast watching the thermometer slowly break the mid 30's.
There is some kind of funky temperature conversion going on today with the higher mountains being much warmer than us down here in the lower elevations.
I did laundry and housework all morning.  After lunch I got out my February decorations and put all the snowman/winter decor away. But I have a feeling that isn't going to make winter or snow go away any time soon.
I heard a lot of banging  and when I checked the work down on the road I saw this huge tall crane hammering poles into the ground.
I know this noise is minor compared to what will be coming. Fortunately I didn't feel the house jar with any of the pounding today and when I turned some music on I couldn't hear the constant banging.
After picking g-son up he was fine, only dissapointed that he didn't get the "terrific kid" award for the grading period.  Maybe that is why he has had a nervous stomach the past couple mornings.
He was his usual hungry self this afternoon.
After his dad picked him up I did the evening chores and then rested on the couch for a little while.
I talked to daughter tonight after her game at Pisgah high school. Her JV team won their game but the varsity lost.
Thankful tonight for the blessings of the day and asking for continued comfort for daughter's friend's family.
Good Night and God Bless.

Carolina Nana,

It's good to be able to block out the noise made from crews working the lines/road in the area.

And this is just the start of work being done in the area.

Glad you are able to block out some of the construction noise. Hopefully it doesn't get worse. Sorry to hear g-son didn't get the "terrific Kid" award. I know how disappointed he must feel. Have a great day. Blessings
