MAKE UP BALLGAME DAY

Woke up before 7am this morning. My internal clock says it is time to get up although it is Monday and hubbie takes g-son to school.
I tried to go back to sleep but after almost an hour I gave up.
Last night when I went to bed it was pouring rain and when I first woke up this morning I could hear the rain still falling but not as heavy as last night.
By 8:30 the rain was gone and the sun was shining brightly. I poured about 6/10ths inch of rain from the gauge this morning.
Hubbie went to work in his wood pile and I cleaned in my office and found new homes for some things in there. I also found a late Christmas gift for d-in-love that I had bought earlier and it became hidden under some papers.
After lunch I walked for 30 minutes out in the mid 50's sunshine. It was a bit breezy so the sunshine warmth was a little misleading but it was still nice.
Hubbie finished his wood splitting for the day and we rode over to daughter's house to let Tipper out for a run since daughter has a "snow day make up" basketball game today.
We picked g-son up on our way home, he had a stomach ache from being so hungry. He ate mac & cheese, waffles and cookies all before I left for daughter's ball game at 4:00.  Hubbie has a sore back so he and g-son stayed home.
They were playing Tuscola high school.
Daughter giving her JV girls instructions.

Her team won their game  and they played really well tonight.
I watched the JV boys game while visiting with neighbors and friends. This game went into overtime and sadly the home team lost by 2 points.
Before the varsity girls game they had a time for honoring special educators.  All members of both boys and girls varsity teams choose a teacher that had made a difference in their lives. Daughter was chosen by one of the varsity boys players.
The chosen teachers wore the players jerseys all day at school today.  The students gave an account of why they picked these certain teachers and it was very touching.
This is all the players and their chosen teachers.
What an honor for daughter after just one semester of teaching !!!  We are proud of you honey !!
Then it was back to the business of coaching for daughter as the varsity girls also won their game.
I lasted until half time until my butt went numb so I came home to have a late salad for supper and catch up on my couch snuggling time with my 4-legged kids.
Praying for a very good friend of daughter's tonight who's grandmother was diagnosed with brain cancer this morning and was given only a short time to live.  May the love of the Lord give the family comfort during this time.
Good Night and God Bless.
