RAIN, WIND WELCOME MARCH AND HAPPY # 35 TO #2 SON

March is surely coming in like a lion this morning. With heavy rain and even some thunder in places.
I sloshed through the chores and then helped hubbie get IR and RL ready to go.
I dropped RL off at pre-school and IR and I headed to the Curb Market to meet up with hubbie who stopped for our breakfast since we don't have time to eat before we leave home on Thursdays.
Both girls were in wonderfully happy moods this morning which made things go much smoother today.
IR watched as we unloaded the Honda in the rain and got things set up.
We all ate our breakfast and then one of the other market vendors carried IR around until she almost went to sleep.
Connie, other g-ma, came after her at 10:30 and they left to get home for her morning nap.
I had some market business to tend to after our  board meeting last Saturday and  hubbie watched our table while I got it all done.
Hubbie then cleaned the big door fans getting all the dust off them before we need to turn them on when the temps get warmer. Buck a friend that used to work with hubbie came by to kill time and helped with the cleaning.
Hubbie left after he got this done and made our weekly Sam's Club visit on his way home.
I had a decent day of sales today, much better than last Thursday .
After market I made regular stops at the bank , PO, Aldi and my monthly stop at Walmart. I didn't get home until 5:00 after all this shopping.
Hubbie helped me unload and then we watched the early news . Thankfully it has stopped raining leaving 1.3 inches in the gauge.
Boy is it ever muddy though with all the soggy ground that just can't absorb any more water.
We turned these to boys out together for the first time today to see how they would get along and they became quick buddies and began exploring all around together.
Two new storms have been named the "Q", Quinn is dumping loads of snow in the upper mid west and "R" Riley is drenching the northeast at the same time with its tail reaching all the way down here.

Thanks to Riley our area is forecast to have very strong wind gust starting tonight through Saturday.

March is known as the "windy" month and it surely is starting out that way as I sit here tonight listening to the roar of the wind gust and the clanging of the wind chimes on the porch that sound like they are giving an urgent warning tonight rather than the usual relaxing tinkling they usually make.
With all the moisture we have had lately the soft ground and high wind is not a good combination for keeping power through the night and day tomorrow.
Last but surely not least on this day 35 years ago I wasn't worrying about rain or wind as I welcomed my second baby boy into the world .  #2 son came into the world around 6 pm after an all day labor.
A sweet layed back baby who scared us to death when he slept all the way through his first night home.

And he is still that layed back adult who works hard and makes good decisions that we are very proud of.
Tif took him out to dinner after work tonight for his big 35 day !!
Thankful for 3 great kids that we are enjoying time with.
Thankful for the blessings of this day and for the blessings in my life that I know came strictly from God.
God Bless and Good Night.
