Brrrrr , an overnight cold front that strong winds blew in brought mid 20's temps to wake up to this morning. These temps aren't that bad but are a drastic difference than the last couple weeks temps.
We got out and did the chores taking longer with all the breaking of ice and refilling the water pans in each chicken pen.
Back inside we had breakfast then checked with all the grandkids on how good Santa was to them.
G-son was very surprised and happy with "Bull" the tortoise.
G-daughter IR had a wonderful first Christmas morning !!!!
BB and the girls were happy this morning as well !!!
Looks like "ole Santa" did a great job of making the kids happy this year , congratulations!
I did the weekly laundry as usual for a Monday and kept the wood stove downstairs burning all day as the temperature didn't get above freezing all day.
Hubbie stayed inside and caught up on his rest today.
After lunch daughter and son-in-love went to see a movie so IR stayed with us. She was still in her excited mood as she and hubbie played with one of her new toys.
After they picked her up we did chores early so we could break the ice off the waterers one more time and give things a drink before they settled in for the night.
Back inside I caught up my blog while hubbie watched TV to end a wonderful cold Christmas day.
G-son got a nice gift from other g-ma's boyfriend John tonight . John built him a complete habitat for "Bull" the tortoise.
He'll be much happier with his new pet up in his room out of the reach of his little sister !!!
We are all just praying that the tortoise's leg heals and g-son doesn't have to go through the disappointment of loosing him.
I am tired tonight and looking forward to an early bedtime to catch up on some rest .
Moving starts tomorrow for daughter as she clears out her carport and we haul it to be stored in our barn.
Thankful for a blessed day and the happiness that this season has brought with the birth of a wonderful Savior.
God Bless, Merry Christmas and Good Night.
