FIRST DAY OF PRE-SCHOOL AND SOCCER GAME

Up to the sound of d-in-love bringing g-son and g-daughter RL here this morning. I fixed g-son his waffles and RL decided she wanted one also to eat beside her big brother since she was going to school today also.
Daughter brought g-daughter IR and then her and g-son headed for school.
I did chores and then had part of my breakfast before it was time to leave with g-daughter RL to get to her pre-school.

I worried all the way there that she was going to pitch a fit and not want to stay as she kept saying how much she was going to miss me.
Thankfully when we arrived at Mud Creek church she was happy and she was happy to be met at the door by this same friendly face as last year.
She only had a short moment of hesitation when she told me I forgot to give her a good bye hug. I hugged and kissed her and she jumped down and took off  getting reacquainted with her friends.
I was thankful that it went so smoothly but wondered of course all morning how she was doing.
I came home and finished my breakfast then while IR napped I did some house cleaning trying to get all the spider webs swept down all around the house inside and outside. Seems this year is really bad for these little critters and they are building webs everywhere and quickly.
I fixed RL some chicken nuggets and drink and went to pick her up at noon.
She was all smiles and the teacher said they all had a really great day. She talked excitedly about the playground and all the things she did today.
Whew !!!!!  Thankfully she is off to a good start.
She ate both her nuggets and then went to sleep as soon as we started home. Hubbie carried her inside and put her in her room where she took a little over an hour nap.
Hubbie, IR and I had lunch while she slept. On the news they talked about a tractor trailer wreck on the interstate we need to travel to get to g-son's soccer game this afternoon and said the interstate would be closed all afternoon for cleanup.
We need to leave earlier now since we will have to take a different route to the game.
I did some feeding and egg gathering just in case we don't get back in time.
We loaded the girls up and headed out about 2:45 to pick up daughter who got off work a few minutes early.
She was walking Luna and of course RL and IR had to show her some love before daughter put her back inside her apartment.

It took only a few more minutes to go the back way into Polk County to the Polk middle school and we were there in plenty of time .
These two were ready for some action.

D-in-love and here mom met us at the game.
G-son 's team gets their pre-game instructions from the coach.

G-son played very well on defense, which is where he likes to play. He made a couple saves and was happy after the game.

Daughter took IR into the gym to watch son-in-love's sister's daughter Zaylea played the pre-game in volleyball.
The rest of us stayed at the soccer game. At half time the score was 3-0 Apple Valley as the sky started to darken and there was talk of a thunder storm headed our way. They said they would take the kids off the field if the storm got within 4 miles of us.
The players played about 5 minutes of the second half before the thunder became louder and the players headed for the locker room to wait to see where the storm went.
Hubbie and I went to the gym to watch some of the volleyball game , d-in-love took RL to the car and Deb left to go home.
As we watched the volleyball game the storm arrived and they canceled the soccer game. We watched the end of the volleyball game which Apple Valley won and then the soccer and volleyball players all loaded the bus to come home. Son-in-love had made it to the game and daughter rode home with him while IR rode with us as son-in-love has no car seat in his suv.
We drove through the storm on the way home and it was very heavy rain which slowed traffic on the interstate and thankfully we made it .
We dropped IR off and came home to only a sprinkle of rain here. Hubbie and I finished up the chores and then came inside for a light supper.
We have the third hurricane of the season in Florence who still is not predicted to be a problem for anyone as she turns back out to sea.

Thankful for the traveling mercies God extended today to all of us driving through that rain storm.
Thankful also that RL made a smooth transition back to pre school.
God Bless and Good Night

Happy to hear RL made a smooth transition back to pre-school and that you all made it safely home in the rain. Blessings
