ROUTINE WEDNESDAY FOR A CHANGE

Yuck another muggy, hot morning. Extra water for everyone this morning as I did the chores.
After breakfast I started a load of rugs in the washer and then baked my pound and wine cakes.
I did 2 loads of rugs and hung them on the line to dry in the hot bright sunshine. At least I've found something it's good for !!
I cleaned floors all morning and they sure needed it as I let them go last week.
After lunch I swept all the outside porches and patios and was sweating like I was digging ditches instead of leisurely sweeping.
The temperature was 92 this afternoon and I could hear distant thunder, but we escaped any storms of course we didn't get any rain either.
After supper I watered all my potted plants again, they are sure soaking up the water in all this heat.
I finished the book I was reading this evening,"The Moonshiners Daughter" , this book is not for the faint of heart , it was definitely a tough life for this young lady as she grew up in an abusive family.
I also spent some time working on my second blog book this evening as I stayed inside in the cool house.

When I saw this photo in the local paper I just had to share it. Birds are sure inventive when it comes to placing a nest.
Tomatoes make a good roof and if they happen to get a worm in them it would be instant lunch!!!

Daughter is getting down to the wire on her house loan, she is still trying to get the chlorine out of the water so they can retest.
Then we'll see what the next hurdle will be. Her closing date is Monday but I don't see her making that. All depends on what happens this weekend I guess.

I iced chocolate and coconut cakes tonight. I have a feeling there won't be many people braving the heat tomorrow to come to the market.
Thanking God for the blessings of today
Good Night and God Bless

Hi Marilyn, WE had a very hot day here today with no rain.. After grocery shopping this morning, I stayed inside all day.. We did turn the AC on in the house this morning... GLAD we did that!!!!

Hope your daughter gets her house.. She/you all have worked so hard to make that happen...

Cute picture of the baby birds near the tomato plants...
Hugs,

I love the baby birds. Looks like there is no end in the near future for the hot weather.
