SOCCER SUNDAY

Brrrrr !!!! A cold morning ushers in October today with a 43 degrees on the thermometer. And right on cue with the beginning of October the temps are becoming more seasonal or below average at least for a few days.

After chores and breakfast hubbie and I headed up to church. The sermon was good today and the church added one more member as one of the young girls came forward for Baptism. May all the glory be God's.
We aren't having lunch today because g-son has his only Sunday soccer game this afternon.
Hubbie and I only had time to grab a bite to eat and then head out to Jackson Park to watch.
G-son has improved so much and is getting more aggressive to get to the ball and best of all he looks like he is having fun with a smile on his face most of the game.

They play on a full size field at this age and there was some tired boys by the time the game was over which g-son's team won 3-1.

G-daughter RL found a friend and was entertained playing with him most of the game.

G-daughter IR thought the game was boring !!!

We left the soccer game and came home to relax for a few minutes before hubbie had to be at his monthly Deacons meeting. While he was gone I straightened the house up a little getting ready for the new week.
When hubbie got home we did chores then went up to #2 son's house for the last time to feed his fish and check on things as he is coming back tonight from St. Lucia where he and Tif have spent the last week on vacation.
He called me from Atlanta and it was good to hear his voice back on USA soil. They are flying into Asheville where we are taking his truck back to later tonight.
Looks like he and Tif had a good time .

It is a relief to have them home though with all the bad weather that has affected the area where they were and the weather that they had to fly through on their way home.
Thanks to God for safe travels for them and for protecting them this past week.
Thankful also for the other blessings of this day and for the Gift of a Heavenly Home .
