G-SON GRADUATES ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Had an extra early wake up call this morning again so we can get the chores done, get breakfast for IR , pick up AD and EL and get to g-son's 5th grade graduation before 9:00 this morning.
We picked up AD and EL just as #1 son dropped g-daughter RL off with Re to watch while we all attended the graduation ceremony. Don't think RL's attention span is long enough to sit through an hour long ceremony.

G-son was recognized for straight A's this last semester of elementary school.
It was a very nice ceremony and we were all so proud to watch g-son walk across this "little stage" to move from elementary school to middle school.

The girls did very good except for IR and she entertained herself going through my purse.

I think g-son was tired of all the hoop-la and picture taking by the look on his face.
We dropped the girls off , other g-ma had already picked up RL for the afternoon and then we came home with IR to have lunch.
I did some housecleaning while hubbie got IR to sleep for her afternoon nap and then I baked cakes.
I baked 2 chocolate, 3 pound, 2 blueberry and 2 pans of brownies.
I was just getting the last ones from the ovens when daughter came to pick up IR.  She was going home to rest and get some of her baking done before she had to be at her high school's graduation tonight.
Thankful for a wonderfully clear evening for the ceremony this year.
This is daughter's teaching block teachers, daughter is on the left.
The teachers all march out ahead of the graduates and sit on the field.
One of daughter's students points at her as he takes his diploma back to his seat.
And one of her students posted this on her social media page. Daughter is a very loved teacher.
We didn't have any family or friends graduating this year, didn't receive any graduation invitations.
G-son and his friends had a "burn" party tonight and burned the elementary school papers they had collected.

As for hubbie and I it was a pretty normal evening. We put a climbing panel in the garden for our cucumbers and he planted the bell peppers plants I bought to replace the ones the rain drowned.
I gathered some hot banana peppers from some very small plants which is strange but everything seems to be off schedule this year.
We sat out and watched the sun set this evening and enjoyed the cool evening breeze.
I finished the day with icing cakes and getting things ready for market.
Thankful for this wonderfully blessed day and the gift of seeing g-son move into another phase of his life.
God Bless and Good Night
