We got chores done early and I put a 10 pound ham in the oven to cook while we are at church. Usually I don't like to have my oven going when I 'm not home but daughter and son-in-love are going to early church and coming here to hide all the eggs so they will be here in about an hour after we leave.
Church was wonderful today and every pew was packed today. It was a very uplifting service. The title of the sermon was "It is finished".
We all came home to have Easter lunch of ham, 7-layer salad, corn on the cob, scalloped potatoes, green beans, deviled eggs, biscuits and sweet tea to drink with a strawberry and coconut cream pie that Re made for dessert.
Everyone ate way too much.
Then the kids got to go outside and hunt for the over 200 eggs that were hidden around the yard.
Everyone had a very fun afternoon and I gave each of the kids a Easter gift to play with and they had fun.
We had a restful Sunday afternoon and I got my blog caught up before chore time came around again.
Very thankful for our wonderful Savior on this special day that He would humbly give up His life for all of us sinners.
