TRACK MEET TUESDAY

Up to a cloudy morning after a rainy overnight. There was another 6/10ths inch of rain the gauge this morning and slick mud everywhere.
I got chores done then took RL to pre-school. I came home and had my breakfast .
IR , hubbie and I decided that this dreary morning would be a good time to check out the big sale at Belks.
We shopped until it was time to pick up RL and I found some good deals but neither hubbie or I found any shoes which is really what we went looking for.
We picked up RL and stopped by Ingles for some groceries and things the girls can eat for lunch.
The girls drove the cart around !!

They both had a frozen peanut butter and grape jelly sandwich on the way home.
RL went to sleep on the way home but woke up as soon as we got here.
They both had a corn on the cob, sweet potato fries and cantelope for more lunch while hubbie and I had lunch.
I had bought this little tool bench at the sale last weekend and the girls wanted to bring it into the house today and play with it. Maybe we have the next budding handymen around here !!!

G-son has his last regular season track meet today at West Henderson High School so we left even with the threatening skies to go over and watch him do his jumps. There was a 30 minute lightening delay when we first arrived but thankfully the rain and storms went around the field and they got the meet in.
He did the high jump and triple jump today.

When we listened to the news when we got home we know how lucky we were as just across the county line from where we were they got very heavy rains and large hail.

Thankfully none of the bad storms for our area and as we drove home we passed several apple orchards in full bloom. Nothing says spring like apple blossoms being pollinated by bees.

We got chores done when we got home and then I watched a beautiful sunset with the remaining clouds giving some beautiful colorful skies.
