PUMPKIN CARVING DAY

Up to only greet RL this morning as CA has a runny nose and a low grade fever so daughter is staying home from work today.  I got chores done and then RL and I had breakfast together and talked about what kind of pumpkin she was going to get at the pumpkin patch.                                                                            IR was excited about going to pick out her pumpkin also so we went by daughter's to pick her up. Daughter and CA followed us and we stopped at Dollar General to pick up some medicine for CA.  Hubbie sat in daughter's van with CA while daughter and I took RL and IR to the pumpkin patch to pick out a pumpkin.  It is another beautiful day.

We also got some winter squash to store and some grapes before we left. Daughter took CA home with her and RL and IR came home with us to carve their pumpkins.  After we had lunch we headed outside and these girls had so much fun cleaning out their pumpkins it was so fun to watch.

Then they both surpervised as Pawpaw carved the exact shape eyes, nose , mouth and teeth they wanted.

The finished products were impressive and the girls loved them.

About the time daughter and d-in-love came to pick the girls up it poured rain for a short period of time for a surprise shower that left 1/2 inch of rain in the gauge.
After the girls left hubbie and I watched the early news then got chores done. The rain caused a mysterious foggy scene down in the bottom pastures and in the near by mountain valleys.

Thankful for a wonderful blessing filled day today and praying little CA feels better quickly.
God Bless and Good Night
