TROPICAL STORM ZETA BRINGS WIND AND FLOODING RAINS

Woke to a stormy morning with pouring rain and high winds. We waited as long as we thought we could to get out to take care of the animals. The rain slacked some and we looked around for wind damage but only found minor things. Limbs down everywhere and the greens and broccoli blown over along with lots of water everywhere as the worst of the storm raced past our area thankfully as we are under a rare tropical storm warning.

Our lower pastures were completely filled with flood waters.
We are very thankful we have power this morning as many in our county do not with lots of poles and trees blown down.
Many roads were also flooded.
Hubbie and I spent a resting morning as we are both still fighting off head colds.  We had a cake order to deliver for daughter at 2:00 so we picked the cake and the girls up from her and met the cake customer.  As we came back up the drive we noticed the flood waters hadn't dropped any even though the skies had cleared.

Daughter and son-in-love were cleaning out their garage so the girls came to play here.

They were soon joined by RL who wanted to come play with them while her mom did housework.

They were shortly joined by EL and BB as their dad had to go his dad who had gotten stuck.
After they were all picked up hubbie and I headed out to get chores done. Thankfully the sun was shining and the day was a record breaking high temperature of 82 .
After today's warmth we are going to suffer these next days as we head for our first freeze of the season.
There was a beautiful moon tonight and the planet Mars was really visible above it.
The kids all went through the Lowe's trick or treat Halloween tonight and got lots of candy.

I baked a cake tonight and iced it right before getting into bed. Another dose of Nyquil tonight and hoping this will be the last one needed.
Thankful for the blessings of this day and for the protective arms of our Lord and Savior who kept all of us safe during the storm.
God Bless and Good Night

Thank you Lord that you are all safe with only minimal damage. Happy Halloween!
