RAINY SUNDAY

A rainy Sunday morning after an all night rain makes things really sloppy around the chicken and guinea houses. The 2 white guineas that have been going in the house with the younger guineas at night were left outside last as they were already in their roosting tree by the time the storm stopped and I got outside last night so they looked like little drowned rats this morning.                                                        There was already over an inch in the gauge and it is still raining this morning. I got chores done and then had a quick breakfast before putting a pork shoulder in the oven and getting a broccoli salad made. Hubbie peeled potatoes and then put on corn and beans to go with biscuits for lunch.    These 2 are preparing an apple pie for dessert today before they have their little Sunday school lesson.

They had their Sunday school lesson with Re before they came over here as they do each Sunday. IR and CA were missing this morning as they went with son-in-love's parents to see their old cabin in Burnsville.   Re is really good with the kids and they learn about Jesus while we are still staying away from our church. Mask are not required in our church and very few folks wear them during services so have decided to go with our private Bible school lessons and TV church services for the time being.
We only had #1 son's and Aa's family for lunch today and everyone had a nice visit while the kids played.                                                                                                                                                            After they all left hubbie and I rested for a rainy afternoon.                                                                         We got chores done after the rain stopped and moved the chicken tractors to new ground that was not so muddy.  There was 1.2 inches in the gauge this evening bringing the total since yesterday evening to   3.3 inches. We are concerned with this much rain and the possibility of multiple inches once again in the middle to end of the week from this new named tropical storm that we will be flooded once again.
However I'm sure we are not as concerned as the folks along the gulf coast that are looking at another hurricane making landfall this season after they have suffered several this season.                                     A restful evening was good to get ready for another busy week.                                                                 Thankful for the blessings of this day.                                                                                                          God Bless and Good Night
