THREE GRANDCHILD MONDAY

Brrrrr…..  11 degrees and still windy this morning makes my face hurt while out getting morning chores done. Hubbie and I tried a new way to get me some unfrozen water to refill all the frozen water pans in the chicken pens, we put a large old cooler in the feed shed last night and put 5 gallon milk jugs filled with warm water in it.
To my surprise and delight this morning the water was still warm and made nice hand warmers on the way to put it in the water pans.
I got back inside after getting everything taken care of before any of the kids got here. Schools are closed today for Martin Luther King day but both daughter and d-in-love are expected to work. They are both going in late thankfully so they don't have to drag the girls out in this cold weather.
Daughter brought IR at 9:00 and d-in-love brought RL at 10:00.  We all had breakfast then the girls played while I got the weekly laundry started.
Hubbie went up to church and picked g-son up from a weekend with the church youth group at Ridgecrest. They had 20 of their youth go on this trip. G-son is the 4th from the left in the first standing row ( the first boy).
In these pics he has on the blue and grey hoodie.

This is a really great group of kids and they always have fun.
He was really pooped and hungry when he came in and after he ate a big lunch he sacked out on the couch for the afternoon.
These 2 had a typical Monday and took turns being cry babies all day.

I got 3 loads of laundry done and did my ironing for the week.
I went outside mid afternoon to break all the water pans again so things could get another drink of water before it refroze for the evening.
D-in-love picked up RL and g-son and son-in-love came after IR since daughter had a late basketball practice.
Last night's lunar eclipse was a visible one and there are many pics from many brave souls who got out in the cold and watched. I wasn't one of them but this is a pic from the local news outlet.
The high temp today struggled to get to 32 and this evening when it was chore time it was already at 28 degrees and another 13 degree night is predicted for tonight.
Another winter storm has already been named and is headed our way by mid week this time. Indra is going to bring us a lot of moisture for sure but the forecasters are reluctant to predict just what kind of moisture it will be yet.
Hubbie and I watched the UNC / Virginia Tech basketball game tonight and UNC ran away with it.
Thankful for the blessings of this day.
God Bless and Good Night

After our 7 inch snow fall on Saturday we are expecting another 3 to 5 inches today and tomorrow. Couple that with the bitter cold temps teens with below zero wind chill I am contemplating hibernating for the rest of Winter. Stay warm and safe. Blessings
