ANOTHER TOMATO TUESDAY

UP this morning to greet g-son and RL and get chores and breakfast done so we could load bikes up and head to the park early before the heat of the what is predicted to be the hottest day of the season so far hits.
Daughter met us there with Addie, IR and CA and Re and her kids also came along.
The kids had a blast riding their bikes around the walking trails that were empty on this warm morning.

CA had the most comfortable ride !!

After our walk and the kids rides we were a hungry bunch so we stopped for an early lunch at Subway. All the kids enjoyed their pizza and we got to cool down and rest while we ate.

We all headed home and RL did go to sleep on the ride home today and slept for an hour after hubbie carried her in and layed her on the couch.
We all took a nice rest time as a storm passed through that left 4/10ths inch of rain in the gauge.
After the kids left I got chores done early and then headed for the kitchen once again to get the 2 runs of pasta sauce made. I had picked all of our bell peppers to go in the sauce and also added some Vadelia onions to it . Both batches were very tasty. I ended up with 12 quarts and 1 pint of sauce which will last us all winter.

I still had some tomatoes left over so I will be canning tomatoes later this week.
Our garden has served us very well this year but now somethings are definitely giving up in the high heat of the late summer.
We are very thankful for all the produce we get to have fresh to eat and to preserve for the coming winter months.
The sun goes down on another wonderful day filled with undeserved blessing.

Another late night and another thankful prayer for the strength that God gives me to be able to get things done.
Continued prayers for CA and her upcoming surgery and for a miracle that I know God can give her that she won't need the surgery.
God Bless and Good Night
