BAKING WEDNESDAY and 1989 SEA WORLD TRIP

This Wednesday morning started off early with g-son, RL and IR here as daughter is going to work to get her classroom in order and get things prepared for the interim teacher that is going to work until she gets back after CA's recovery. She took CA with her so she can feed her there.
I got chores done and had breakfast then Deb, d-in-love's mom came to pick up g-son and RL to spend some time with them after an early morning doctor appointment she had. She got her little car stuck in one of the water breaks in our drive after she tried to back it up with a patch over her injured eye but we got it out with no trouble.
After she took the kids IR was left to play by herself which she is pretty accustomed to doing.
Hubbie took her outside which is her favorite thing to do and let her swing until she got really sleepy.
I spent the morning and part of the afternoon in the kitchen again this time in baking mode. I baked 6 caramel, 2 chocolate, 4 pound cakes and 1 blackberry wine and a pan of brownies.
The storms rolled in again about mid afternoon so I went to my office while hubbie and IR took short naps and did weekly paperwork and paid bills. I also got the month ending paperwork done for July that showed this July right on par with the last couple years so that was a good thing.
Another man is supposed to pick up the hens I have for sale this evening so I started chores a little early after the storm passed with only 3/10ths inch of rain in the gauge.
Thankfully this man showed up all the way from Marion and took all 10 of the hens. He said he couldn't have noisy roosters where he lived but had lots of free range hens so my girls will enjoy their new home.
I turned the 2 remaining roosters out in the pasture to find their pecking order and be free range at least unless someone calls wanting them.
The clouds are finally giving way to a pretty sunset this evening and I can tell the season is getting later when the sunsets move closer to my view window.

After chores were finished I returned to the kitchen to ice cakes and get things ready for market.
The 1989 August decade photos were great memory invokers about a trip we took with the kids to Sea World in Florida. On the way there we made a stop in Okefenokee swamp in Georgia and took a ride through the swamp in a tour boat to see wild alligators . This used to be one of the bigger gators in this swamp.

We made a stop in Jacksonville, Florida at one of the forts there.

The kids enjoyed Sea World in Orlando and Shamu the killer whale show and of course daughter had to have her own mini version of Shamu.

We then stayed on the gulf side of Florida in a place called Treasure Island where the beach sand was as white as snow and the no wave gulf was a perfect place for the kids to play in the water.

We did more site seeing around Florida as we headed back north along the beaches.

We made an extended stop on Tybee Island Georgia .

Thankful for all  the blessings of this day and prayers going up for little CA each day.
God Bless and Good Night.
