PRE SURGERY DAY

Up to greet g-son and RL early this morning and then daughter dropped IR off on her and son-in-love's way to take CA to Charlotte for all her pre-op today.
I got weekly laundry started and then we played with the kids outside on the new swing set.

After lunch we loaded up and went to the PO and then drove the Pilot on the interstate to make sure the new tires were balanced correctly, they were great and the ride it so much smoother.
Back home I finished the laundry then hubbie and I took the girls outside with us to get all the chickens and dogs stocked up with feed and water for the next couple days we are going to be away in Charlotte.
RL said she would take good care of "Meow Meow" !!!!

D-in-love is going to feed and gather  eggs while we are gone.
She picked up RL and g-son after work and hubbie and I quickly packed some suitcases and loaded the Honda and we were on our way to Charlotte with IR to meet up with daughter and son-in-love.
Daughter had called earlier today and said they were fortunate enough to have gotten a room at the Ronald McDonald house so hubbie, IR and I will be staying at a friends house which is about 2 miles away from the hospital.
We made good time and had no trouble until we got into Charlotte and we ran into a terrible rainstorm that was pouring rain harder than we had ever seen before. The streets were flooded and man hole covers were exploding with geyser like water shooting almost a foot in the air.
Thankfully we made it to the Ronald McDonald house first and took a tour of it. It is so nice and IR really fell in love with the playroom and all the toys.

We left there and came over to our friends house and got things carried in before the rains started again.
I fed CA a bottle and then held her hopefully for the last time with this feeding tube to let the feeding tube run the remainder of her bottle into her stomach.
Daughter, son-in-love and CA left and went back to the McDonald house IR, hubbie and me went to bed to the sound of pouring rain on the roof.
This is a beautiful house.

Thankful for the generosity of great friends and praying that God will be with CA tomorrow during her surgery and with the surgeon as they try to make her whole for the first time in her short life.
God Bless and Good Night
