HAPPY #35 TO DAUGHTER

Up early today to get chores done before daughter and the girls get here to pick my up. Hubbie is getting ready to fire up his smoker and load it with a couple small Boston butts and a pork loin.  We are planning a birthday dinner this evening for all the March birthdays. Today is daughter's birthday.
It is a beautiful morning.
IR wanted to stay with hubbie so daughter, CA and I headed to Weaverville to pick up our weekly CSA vegetable boxes.
It is only about a 10  minute more drive to get to the farm instead of his dropping off place in down town Asheville and it fits better in out time frame today to get the trip made this morning.
We had to switch drivers on the way back so daughter could attend a  virtual meeting with her principle .
We also went by the elementary school and picked up lunches for all the kids and dropped them off at Re's and d-in-love's on our way here.
After we ate our lunch daughter had to work on her on-line classwork for her students so hubbie and I played with the kids and watched to smoker temperature.
IR was thrilled to be able to play outside in the nice sunny upper lower 70's day.

I spent some time baking a new bread recipe and the loaves turned out really good and they were delicious.

Everyone started arriving at 6:00, #1 son's family, #2 son and Tif, Daughter's family, Aa's family, and Kristen and Addie made it to the dinner. We served the smoked pork along with baked potatoes, corn , slaw and the warm bread and Re brought an apple crisp and ice cream for dessert.
Everyone had a nice visit and enjoyed the evening.
It was warm enough that we all ate outside so we observed the social distancing rules in place right now.
After everyone left hubbie and I got things put away and crashed for the evening.
Happy 35th birthday to daughter today and hope she has many many more happy birthdays.

Thankful for the blessings of this day and praying that it be God's will for all of us to avoid the covid virus.
God Bless and Good Night
