SIGNS OF FALL ABOUND

At least I didn't hear rain pounding on the roof this morning as I woke up to greet IR and CA. It is still cloudy and cool and super muddy when I got out to get the morning chores done.                                          Back inside I had breakfast with IR and CA and then I got a text that our Aldi order that I had put in for a noon-1:00pm pick up was already ready at 10am.   We loaded up and went to pick up the order and then stopped by a friends produce stand to get some of these that remind us Fall is coming .

As you can see 3 of the donuts were already eaten before I thought to take a picture.  At this farm they also have a huge sunflower field and it is so pretty.
It's also an apple farm and the trees are loaded with red apples waiting to be picked.
All these signs of Fall go along with the cool air that is moving in today and forced me into a long sleeved shirt early this afternoon.   These girls have been so sweet today and they actually sat together in my recliner and watched TV together the entire time hubbie and I had our lunch.
After daughter came in we all went outside to have popsicles and get some swinging in for the day before they all headed home.                                                                                                                         Hubbie and I watched the news as we are already to the "B" storm name in the Greek alphabet with 3 new storms getting names overnight and today.
Wilifred the last of the regular alphabet is looking like it will follow the other storms and turn northwest away from land.

The "A" in the Greek alphabet formed in a strange place in the northern Atlantic.
However the "B" name Beta looks like it will be another gulf storm and they are not sure what it will do yet.
Wow all I can say is what a hurricane season and to think that we have at least an entire month to go is scary !!!                                                                                                                                                          Thankfully for the time being we are finished with tropical moisture after Sally left us another .2 inches in the gauge overnight.                                                                                                                                  Hubbie and I got chores done tonight and then I baked one pound cake and then rested for the evening.   Our community is in mourning as one of our young police officers was laid to rest today after being shot in the face on September 10 while responding to a breaking and entering at a residence and confronting the perpetrator when he arrived on the scene.  My prayers go out to this young man's family and to his fellow officers who all are mourning this great loss.
May you rest in peace Ryan !!!
Thankful that we as Christians can look to a Heavenly Father who waits for each of us with open arms and can rest in the peace that this young man is at peace today.                                                                   Thankful for the blessings of this day.
God Bless and Good Night
