STORM PREPARATIONS

Up to greet all three g-girls this morning. I got chores done and then we had a quick breakfast before heading out to the dump / recycle center and to run a couple other errands and make an egg delivery.      CA slept the entire time in the truck so she got a good morning nap.                                                          We got home at lunch time so we ate and then they all played while I baked 6 caramel cakes.     As soon as I got them out of the oven we all headed outside to swing and play for the afternoon in the nice weather.     The temperature is in the low 70's today and the sun feels good with a light breeze.                  Daughter came in while we were outside and then we came inside to have our afternoon coffee and hot tea ,juice and snacks for the girls.  It's hard to believe RL is willing to let IR fix her hair since only a couple weeks ago her hair was a do not touch area.

G-son who had came in with daughter got something to eat and played with the girls for a while before d-in-love came after him and RL.                                                                                                       After they all left hubbie and I went outside and got some storm prep done. We are expecting 3-5 inches of rain from hurricane Sally starting early in the morning and ending Friday morning.   I dug out all the driveway ditches while hubbie got on the roof and blew out all the gutters.

Sally came ashore this morning in Gulf Shores , Alabama and was devastating to the gulf coast. Dropping 2 feet of rain in some areas for massive flooding.
We got chores done and I did some extra covering up somethings to get ready for the rain and that needed to be done anyway to get things ready for cooler weather.                                                               Back inside I iced the cakes I made this morning and sat them out for daughter to pick up in the morning.                                                                                                                                                         Thankful for the blessings of this day and praying for the folks that were and are in the path of this storm.                                                                                                                                                             God Bless and Good Night
